They suffered minor injuries and the water ride was shut down to allow for an investigation.

It is understood the chaos was sparked after the rapids had “sustained some damage”.

However, the fast-flowing attraction was re-opened to guests at around midday today.

This comes after we reported how two people were rushed to hospital after a toboggan ride malfunctioned at another popular UK park.

Emergency services raced to the scene at Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire, South Wales on Sunday night.

The toboggan ride was shut following the crash that saw two people rushed to hospital.

One eyewitness told WalesOnline that two toboggans smashed into each other after the ride malfunctioned.

He added that he heard screaming coming from the track while queuing for the ride himself.

Dyfed-Powys Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.25pm on Sunday evening.

The condition of those taken to hospital currently remains unclear.
