Viewers leave Meghan in droves as season 2 of Duchess’ cooking show fails to reach Netflix’s top 1,000 most watched

MEGHAN Markle’s Netflix show failed to reach the top 1,000 most watched list – as the streamer confirms it will not return for a third season.

The Duchess, 44, released the first eight-episode installment of With Love, Meghan, in March last year.

It featured her Hollywood pals and celebrity chefs – but received mixed reviews.

While some found the former actress’ attempts at “elevating the everyday” charming, others dubbed it a self-indulgent cringe fest.

Nevertheless, the lifestyle and cooking show hit our screens again when season two was released in August.

The highly anticipated drop, however, failed to reach the top 1,000 list of most-viewed programmes on the streaming platform.

It garnered just two million views between July and December, meaning it placed 1,016th on the chart, as reported by the Telegraph.

This was significantly lower than the 5.3million views reached for season one, as reported by Netflix.

It is perhaps unsurprising then, that a third season will not be in the pipeline and “there’s nothing in the works” regarding other projects.

An insider told Page Six: “It’s not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet.”

The source claimed Meghan is focusing more on promoting her brand As Ever in “more bite-sized” ways.

Speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in October, the Duchess admitted: “It’s a year of learning … Eight episodes for two seasons—it’s a lot of work.”

The second season of With Love, Meghan didn’t land in the streamer’s Top 10 shows in the US the week it dropped, as reported by Forbes.

Although, more viewers did tune in to catch her 2025 holiday special – which made the list.

And, Netflix still has a partnership with Meghan for As Ever, which may feature in plans for more holiday specials.

The Sussexes also have a “first look” deal with the platform despite their rumoured £80million deal coming to an end.

Meghan’s business As Ever is also continuing to go from strength to strength.

The mum-of-two has flogged almost a million jars of jam — and now plans to spread the business worldwide.

Neither Meghan nor her company released sales data but the figures emerged thanks to a website glitch.

But insiders have highlighted how the multi-million dollar profits will not all flow into the pockets of California-based Meghan and husband Harry.

Earnings are shared with TV partner Netflix and some will be reinvested.

Meghan is now planning on fresh orders of jam and other products — and expanding her online business to countries outside the US, including Britain.

The glitch also revealed As Ever stock included 80,000 packets of edible flower sprinkles, 30,000 jars of honey, 30,000 mulling kits, almost 90,000 candles and 70,000 bottles of wine.
