A HUGE UK supermarket has slashed the price of Celebration chocolate tubs as the countdown to Christmas begins.
The promotion will mean shoppers can nab a tub of the family favourites for over £3 less – perfect for anyone looking to stock up for the festive season.
How to claim the festive discount
The UK’s biggest supermarket Tesco is running an offer where you can pick up a 550g tub for £3.95 – but the offer is not available to everyone.
To cash in on the deal you will need to scan your Tesco Clubcard at the till or use it online, otherwise you’ll have to pay £7.
Online Tesco states the offer is valid for delivery from today until 30/09/2025 – so be quick if they are your favourites.
However, it is important to shop around to make sure you are not missing out on a better bargain elsewhere.
Indulgent family favourites
Cadbury’s Celebrations features an indulgent mix of everyone’s favourite mini-sized milk chocolate bars and chocolate biscuits including Mars, Twix, Snickers, Bounty, Galaxy, Maltesers, and Milky Way.
Everyone is sure to have a favourite in these tins but if you are stocking up for Christmas – try not to eat them before the big day.
These chocolates also make a great option for the snack bowl to share on a Christmas movie night or to greet guests as you exchange presents.
Where to buy the cheapest Christmas chocolate tubs this week
The Sun has calculated the cheapest supermarket to grab all your favourite chocolate tubs from this week.
The Christmas confectionaries are already available across most UK supermarkets, but some are offering better deals than others.
While Asda recently slashed the prices of all Christmas tubs, another shop has taken the crown for best overall rates.
Sainsbury’s Nectar members can pick up Nestle 550g Celebrations and 550g Quality Street and Cadbury’s 550g Heroes and 550g Roses for just £4.50 each.
That means loyalty card holders can pick up all four tubs for a total of just £18, instead of the £28 they would be charged without a Nectar card.
The next best deal is available from Asda, and you don’t need any loyalty card.
Shoppers can pick up a 500g of Celebrations and a 550g tub of Quality Street for £4.42 each.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
Meanwhile, Tesco Clubcard holders can also pick up Heroes and Roses for £5.25 and a tub of Quality Street at the new reduced rate of £3.95.
At Morrisons. the retailer is offering a deal on the 550g Cadbury’s tubs.
You can purchase two tubs of Heroes and/or Roses for just £8, with a maximum of two per customer.
Ocado shoppers can currently nab a two for £10 deal on 550g tubs of Heroes and Quality Street or a 500g tub of Celebrations.
This offer is also valid until the end of September.
And Aldi have listed 550g tubs of Quality Street for £5.49, while there is still no sign of the other three versions on shelves just yet.
Lidl has yet to stock any Christmas chocolate tubs for 2025.
