BRITAIN has already mapped out which troops it could send into Ukraine if a ceasefire is agreed, the Defence Secretary has said.
John Healey revealed the UK has already carried out reconnaissance on the ground as part of advanced planning for any deal.

It comes amid uproar over a reported US peace plan that would force Ukraine to lease swathes of its territory to Russia in exchange for a ceasefire.
Members of the “coalition of the willing” have been drawing up ceasefire plans that could see UK troops join a multinational force to secure the border.
Asked about the preparedness of the coalition, Mr Healey said: “I’s detailed planning.
“But ultimately we will adjust it depending on the terms and circumstances of the agreement.

“But we have led recces in Ukraine, so we know what units we would use.
“We know how we would deploy them, and we know what roles they would play, depending, depending, of course, on finalising those plans with other members of the coalition of the willing to fit the needs of the Ukrainians and the terms of any peace agreements.”
He added: “We the UK have done recces is in the Ukraine, I’m not saying who, I am not saying when we’ve done that but we have done that work that you would expect us to do as part of detailed, advanced military planning.”
Meanwhile, France’s top general has warned the country must be ready to “lose our children” in a future war with Putin as Paris erupted in anger over the secret US-Russia peace plan.
General Fabien Mandon accused France of lacking the “strength of soul” for a fight with Moscow.
Mandon told mayors that France must brace for a direct clash with Russia within years and be ready to sacrifice “sons and daughters” to defend Europe.
He went on to warn that the Kremlin would “test” other nations and that the outlook was “very black”.
