Edwards vs Brady – Round 3
Edwards punishes Brady with a nasty counter elbow that forces a shot ou of the Philly puncher.
But Edwards defends it well before bizarrely shooting for a takedown of his own.
Brady stuffs it and capitalises by putting Rocky on his back and moving to half guard, where he rained down heavy blows.
Brady’s control on the bottom has started to sap the life out of the arena.
Edwards vs Brady – Round 2
Brady opts not to strike with Edwards after the restart, immediately shooting for a takedown.
He defends the initial attempt well but is eventually dragged to the canvas.
Brady is looking to transition his position like a knife through hot butter.
He takes the back and secures a body triangle to hold Edwards in place.
Brady is trying to force Edwards to make a mistake and give up his neck but the former champ is wise to the tactic.
Brady’s top pressure is truly suffocating and stifling Edwards.
The American is looking for a kimura but Edwards defends it.
He briefly gives up his back during a scramble but manages to get back to half guard before the round finishes.
Edwards vs Brady – Round 1
Brady comes out all guns blazing with a big combination forcing the former to conter.
Chants of ‘Rocky, Rocky, Rocky’ ring throughout the arena to spur on the Brit.
Brady isn’t at all deterred by the challenge in front of him, coming forward and looking to land heavy shots.
They briefly clinch but Brady is unable to transition to a takedown.
They clinch again and Edwards lands a good knee to the body before drilling Brady with an elbow on the break.
Edwards doing incredibly well in the clinch, landing knees at will and forcing Brady to separate.
Brady eventually gets the fight against the cage with just over a minute to go but Edwards reverses the position and pulls the fight into the open.
But Brady perfectly times a sweep off another Edwards knee to land a takedown, although he’s unable to do anything before the horn sounds.

Leon Edwards is about to make his crunch return to the octagon.
The former champ badly needs a win following his dethroning by Belal Muhammad last July.
But surging contender Sean Brady stands between ‘Rocky’ and a second shot at welterweight gold.
Will he be able to get back in the win column and seal a second title shot.
We’ll soon find out.
