A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy playing on a beach horrifically discovered human bones in the sand.
Cops cordoned off Saunton Sands beach in North Devon last weekend to dig up the remains and send them off for forensic tests.

Gabrielle Prentice, from nearby Braunton, Devon, said her toddler son Lake was happily digging in the sand when he came across the bones.
She said: “Lake made us move three times before he found the place he wanted to dig. Almost immediately he found a bone. He then quickly brought over three more.”
The family Googled the find and checked with her trainee orthodontist sister who suspected the bones and teeth were human.
They then called the police who quickly arrived to cordon off the area and took Lake’s bucket of bones away.
They returned the next day and police returned Lake’s bucket.
His mum said: “His favourite thing to do at the moment is play pirates and treasure hunts, so now he really does feel like a real life pirate.”
Devon and Cornwall police confirmed examinations of the bones are being undertaken.
The force said: “Officers were called at 2.50pm on Saturday 11 October following the discovery of human bones at Saunton Sands beach.
“A scene guard remains in place while the items are recovered.
“These will be examined by a forensic archaeologist to determine their age. Police enquiries are ongoing.”
It is the latest discovery of human bones on beaches in the area.
In May Devon and Cornwall police said what appeared to be human remains were found at the end of Westward Ho! beach in Bideford, North Devon.
And, later that same day, further remains were found on the coastline at nearby Appledore.
In May the force said that they had not identified the two sets of bones, adding that they couldn’t be certain if they related to the same person.
Officers said in the event of any further discoveries to contact 999 but sought to reassure the local community they were not at any risk.
