Two teenagers, 16 and 19, arrested over shooting of boy, 14, gunned down in broad daylight

COPS have arrested two more murder suspects after the tragic killing of a 14-year-old schoolboy.

Eghosa Ogbebor was gunned down on Thursday afternoon in Woolwich in London, sparking a major murder probe.

A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder and they remain in custody.

The force also said a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is still being questioned.

The fresh arrests come after three others – two boys aged 14 and 16 and an 18-year-old man – were nicked on Friday.

They have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Cops launch murder probe after ‘kind soul’ musician dies outside pub in ‘attack’

Cops were called at around 3.40pm on Thursday to Lord Warwick Street following reports of a shooting.

Officers raced to the scene alongside paramedics but found Eghosa with devastating injuries. 

Despite desperate efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now detectives have arrested two more suspects in connection with the horror.

Eghosa’s devastated family have been told and are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card has called for more potential witnesses to come forward.

She said: “Our team of dedicated detectives are continuing enquiries to investigate Eghosa’s tragic death.

“Residents in Woolwich may have noticed a large amount of police activity last night, as officers arrested three further people in connection with the investigation.

“We appreciate the concern that Eghosa’s death has caused, particularly among the local community who will continue to see an increased police presence around the area.

“There may be people who have heard information or witnessed suspicious activity in the area but not yet contacted police.

“We urge these people to contact us and assist with the investigation.

“We will continue to support and update Eghosa’s family as the investigation continues and our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.”
