Two planes have collided at Kalispell Airport in Montana, triggering a huge fireball and sending smoke billowing into the sky.
The crash happened Monday afternoon, with the local police department, sheriff’s office and fire department all on the scene.
It is unclear what may have caused the crash and what type of planes were involved.
The extent of any injuries is currently unknown, Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino told MTN.
Photos shared by local artist Ben Garrison showed huge clouds of black smoke over the airfield and downtown Kalispell.
The city sits in Northwest Montana and is known as the ‘gateway’ to the state’s breathtaking Glacier National Park.
