Two dead in horror crash after plane plummets into multiple trucks sparking massive blaze

AT LEAST two people have died after a plane crashed into a row of trucks in Fort Worth, Texas.

Horror footage shows the moment the passenger plane nosedives towards the ground as it explodes into a fireball upon impact.

The aircraft smashed into parked up 18-wheelers and trailers near Hicks Airfield and set several of them on fire, according to the local fire department.

Thick plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky on Sunday afternoon following the tragedy.

The crash happened at around 1:30pm near the 12000 block of North Saginaw Boulevard near Avondale, according to a 911 call log.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and found two bodies, the fire department confirmed.

It is unclear how many people were onboard the suspected Beechcraft King Air 90 at the time and if anyone on the ground was injured.

The Federal Aviation Authority is currently investigating the horror crash alongside the National Transportation Safety Board.

Roads in the surrounding area were closed for some time as firefighters battled the raging flames.

The fiery wreckage of the plane and the trucks are all now extinguished, authorities said.

Officials are yet to say if the plane was using the nearby Hicks Airfield or had come in from elsewhere.

The crash site sits just 10 miles north of Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.

Fort Worth Fire Department Public Information Officer Craig Trojacek said: “There are a lot of people at home spending family time on a Sunday.

“There’s gonna be some families, their lives are changed forever, and we just want everybody to know that our hearts and prayers go out to them.”

It comes after a medical helicopter crashed in the middle of a major highway in California.

A minute-long dashcam video captured the crash, which critically injured three people on board, as the chopper went up in smoke. 

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

Elsewhere, a husband and wife were killed in a “gruesome and devastating” plane crash alongside their friend in Australia.

Andrew Connors, 55, his wife Julianne, 54, and their close friend Colin McLachlan, 73, all died in the fiery crash at around 10am on Saturday.
