X USERS have been left in the dark after the website suddenly stopped working tonight.
Over 10,000 reports of an outage have been logged this evening, with most of the issues appearing to hit the online website.
Meanwhile 26 per cent of problems are affecting the X app.
The spike started around 10.20pm, according to Downdetector.
One user complained: “Unable to log in to X. When I try to log in, I receive the following error message: Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later.”
Another wrote: “Keep getting suspicious log in message when I try to log in and blocks me logging in, what is going on.”
“Elon, please fix your app. I keep seeing the same notifications pop up twice. That needs to be fixed,” a third fumed.
This is just the latest in a string of outages that have plagued the Elon Musk-owned website.
Last month over 15,000 people reported a black out, more than the 11,000 who reported issues in May.
At the time, they said they couldn’t even open the app without it kicking them out.
Another outage was reported in March, and that time a massive 58,000 users said there were issues with the platform.
That came just one day after a different blackout plagued 18,000 users.
Musk has added new features since he paid out an eyewatering $44 billion to acquire Twitter in October 2022.
He changed the name to X, which is also the nickname he has for his son, whom he shares with singer Grimes.
In October, Musk banned all bold and italicized fonts as he said it was “being abused for engagement farming.”
One month before that, he added a feature to edit DMs on the app after they’ve already been sent.
And before this, he outraged users by “hiding” users’ likes in an effort to increase privacy.
