Donald Trump is set to deliver a mysterious announcement from the Oval Office on Friday, just hours after the FBI launched a raid on the home of his former national security advisor.
The topic of the speech has not been disclosed, but it is scheduled for 12pm ET.
It comes as FBI agents were spotted at the DC-area home of former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton on Friday morning.
The president posted a cryptic message on Truth Social shortly after the raid om Bolton’s home began.
‘The United States is the “Hottest” Country anywhere in the World. There is no other Country that is even close…And just think, one year ago, we were a “DEAD” Country, with no hope of ever seeing GREATNESS AGAIN! But that all changed on Election Day, November 5th, 2024. LANDSLIDE!!!’ he said.
The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home on Friday morning.
Bolton, who served as President Donald Trump’s NSA from April 2018 until September 2019, has been at odds with Trump ever since parting with the first administration.
The raid is part of the FBI’s investigation into the former Trump official involving classified documents.
‘NO ONE is above the law… FBI agents on mission,’ FBI Director Kash Patel wrote in a post to X.
Bolton was home at the time of the 7.00 am raid on his DC-area house, a source familiar with the matter told the Daily Mail.

Former NSA John Bolton’s wife, Gretchen Smith Bolton, appeared to be given a rude awakening on Friday morning when the FBI rolled up to raid their home in Bethesda, Maryland.
Gretchen was spotted at the front door interacting with the federal agents, then walking away as they entered the home.
George Conway visits John Bolton’s home during FBI raid
George Conway, estranged husband of Trump ally Kellyanne Conway, spoke with the Daily Mail outside John Bolton’s in the middle of the FBI raid.
He said Bolton should be held accountable if he is illegally storing classified documents ‘the way Trump should have’ during his Florida case.
‘If he’s got classified documents, my view is well, he has to answer for that if he’s got them, the way Trump should have,’ Conway said.
‘On the other hand, if it’s just about harassing him because he said uncomplimentary things about Trump… that’s not legit.
Trump posts cryptic message after Bolton raid
Donald Trump made a cryptic Truth Social post just hours after the FBI raided the home of his former national security advisor.
‘The United States is the “Hottest” Country anywhere in the World. There is no other Country that is even close…And just think, one year ago, we were a “DEAD” Country, with no hope of ever seeing GREATNESS AGAIN! But that all changed on Election Day, November 5th, 2024. LANDSLIDE!!!’ the president said.
Trump official estimates 300,000 federal job cuts
The director of the Office of Personnel Management, Scott Kupor, said that 300,000 federal jobs will be cut by the end of the year.
‘That’s roughly like 2.4 million to start and ending roughly about 2.1 million,’ he told the New York Times on Thursday.
He said a bulk of the resignations came from the incentives first introduced by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and most would be officially separated by the end of September, and others by the end of the year.
The Trump administration started sending emails to thousands of federal workers in January, offering them a chance to voluntarily vacate their government posts while remaining on the payroll for months.
John Bolton served as Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor from April 2018 until September 2019.
In response, Bolton has become one of the former officials that Trump has taken aim at since getting back into office this year.
Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard stripped Bolton of his security clearance.
On his first day back in office on January 20, 2025, Trump ordered the clearances be revoked of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed a 2020 letter suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation.
In June 2020, Bolton published a memoir about his time working for Trump called The Room Where it Happened.
The president tried to block its publication, claiming Bolton breached a nondisclosure agreement he signed as a condition of his employment. He also argued that the memoir endangered U.S. national security.
In September 2020, Trump’s first-term Justice Department opened a probe into the book. But during the Biden years, his DOJ did not pursue the investigation further.
Trump’s Executive Order once back in office specifically cited Bolton’s memoir as part of stripping the security clearances of former intelligence officials.
He said Bolton’s ‘reckless treatment of sensitive information’ undermined national security because it risked exposing classified material.
Amid the feud with his former top national security aide, Trump also revoked his Secret Service protection, saying at the time: ‘We’re not going to have security on people for the rest of their lives. Why should we?’
He called Bolton a ‘very dumb person’ and a ‘warmonger.’
FBI Director says agents are ‘on mission’
Shortly after FBI agents launched a raid on the home of Trump’s Former National Security Advisor John Bolton, FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X.
‘NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission,’ he said.
Although it is unclear if he was referring to the search on Bolton’s home, Patel wrote a 2023 book that included Bolton in a list of ‘members of the Executive Branch Deep State.’
The president is scheduled to make an unknown announcement at 12pm ET in the Oval Office on Friday.
It is the only event listed on Trump’s public schedule and it is unclear what the announcement will be about.
The announcment comes just hours after the FBI launched a raid on the home of Trump’s Former National Security Advisor, John Bolton.
