Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos emphasized that the devout mother of three could die without her medication during an interview on Tuesday.
‘It is a race against time, and I hope that window hasn’t closed,’ Nanos said.
Meanwhile, the Today Show host was absent from the anchor’s desk for a second day on Tuesday as the search for her mother continues.

‘The air and ground searches, you’ll see that slow down. Those things are going to slow down, we’re pushing more to the investigative side of this,’ he told MS Now on Tuesday.
‘Throughout today we hope to have more technology coming into play for us. We’ve submitted a lot of things from license plate readers to intersection cameras to downloads of cell phones and cell tower dumps.
‘That’s starting to trickle in, and we’re going to just keep moving.’

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will hold a press conference on the missing persons case of Nancy Guthrie later today.
The media briefing is scheduled for 11.30am MST/1.30pm ET at the sheriff’s department headquarters.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told the Arizona Daily Star an extensive search around Nancy Guthrie’s home was done on Sunday and all night into Monday, ‘to no avail.’
