Tributes pour in as ex-Arsenal, Chelsea and England footballer passes away from brain tumour

FORMER women’s football star Amy Carr has sadly died following a battle with a brain tumour at just 35-years-old.

Carr was a former England youth international who played for clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal and Reading.

She was diagnosed with a high-grade brain tumour in 2015, but in 2024, she ran the Dublin Marathon to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

Remarkably, Carr raised £28,718 to help fund vital research into brain tumours.
