TRAITORS bosses had no idea Faithfuls Ross and Netty were old friends when they cast them for series four.
In a thrilling opening episode full of surprises, one twist was when nursery teacher Netty exclaimed “Oh my god Ross!” when they came to face-to-face outside Ardross Castle.
The pair explained they met some 15 years ago through a mutual friend.
But personal trainer Ross was fuming Netty had given the game away.
Claudia said: “She was like, ‘Ross!’ And he was like, ‘look, what the f*ck are you doing?’”
Executive producer Mike Cotton said: “Ross and Netty was not intentional at all. We actually cast them as individuals.

“We do lengthy background checks on them all to take part. And I think it’s part of that we discovered that they follow each other on social media.
“So we knew that there was a tenuous link, but we didn’t know whether they’d recognise each other or how they would react.
“We didn’t want to exclude them because they knew each other – I just thought it was really interesting to see what it added to the game.”
In the past having a known associate in the game has made it tricky for players to carve a path convincingly.
Last series Armani and Maia Gouveia shared with the group that they were sisters from the off.
It ended with Maia having to out her sis as a Traitor to try and stay in the game.
