Tragedy at Cheltenham races as punter favourite Third Time Lucki suffers fatal injury

TRAGEDY struck the first day of racing back at Cheltenham this season when punter favourite Third Time Lucki suffered a fatal injury.

The Fergal O’Brien-trained ten-year-old went wrong in the big 2m handicap chase at 3.35pm.

The horse’s sad death was confirmed by Oli Bell on live ITV coverage.
