Tragedy as man dies in his car at M62 motorway service station

A MAN has tragically died at a motorway service station following a medical episode.

Emergency services were called out to Birch services, on the M62 eastbound near Heywood, at 10.05am this morning (September 21).

The man’s next-of-kin have been informed

Greater Manchester Police said a 50-year-old man had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest in his car.

The man’s next-of-kin have been informed.

Access to the Moto service station was closed off from the M62 eastbound this morning after emergency services were called out to the scene.

The slip road reopened at around midday today.

Moto has been approached for comment.
