A FIREFIGHTER from The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) has tragically died while battling a five alarm blaze in Brooklyn – as tributes pour in.
Patrick Brady, 42, an 11-year firefighter veteran at the department, suffered a “medical episode” then a fatal heart attack after tackling the flames on the roof of 9407 Kings Highway.

He was treated on the scene then rushed to Brockdale hospital yesterday.
But despite medics’ best efforts, the brave firefighter died later that day.
In a statement, Mayor Eric Adams said: “Firefighter Patrick Brady gave his life protecting the city we all love; there is no sacrifice that is more selfless than the actions that took place this evening.”
