‘Tonight you die’ – Laura Woods reveals deranged stalker sent chilling pics of her front door while she was live on TV

LAURA Woods has revealed how her deranged stalker sent her chilling pictures of her front door while she was live on TV.

The award-winning sports presenter, 38, was harassed for two years by a female football fan who sent her unwanted deliveries including an STI testing kit.

Woods was left living in “real fear” during the campaign of harassment by Harneet Kaur, 25, who has now been jailed.

Liverpool fan Harneet became infatuated with Laura and harassed her over a two year period.

Now, Laura has spoken out for the first time since the harrowing ordeal.

The TV star told the Telegraph: “For three years, she would go to extreme lengths to make my life very uncomfortable.

“She called the police and said she had seen me being dragged into my house by a man with a knife. In 2023, I was in Poland, covering Oleksandr Usyk’s fight with Daniel Dubois, and she emailed me while I was on air. It was a video of my front door and a message, saying: ‘I know you’ve got three cameras in your house.’

“I started going through all the video footage to see if anyone was in there. It was terrifying. It was every possible way you could conceive that she would try to get to me.

“Dating websites, spam websites, it was relentless – I couldn’t understand how one person could do it all.”

Laura revealed that she felt “very exposed” and became “extremely anxious and low” as a result of the ordeal.

She even disclosed how she would receive birthday cards that would say: “Today’s the day you were born and tonight’s the night you’re going to die.”

Kaur was arrested in April 2022 and re-arrested in August later the same year.

A family friend revealed Harneet was originally trying to contact Woods over promoting an eating app.

But, the contact turned to harassment with Harneet sending terrifying threats to kill Laura’s dog and sending Bibles, sexual health tests and food orders to the broadcaster’s London home.

The harassment campaign had an “enormous and devastating” effect on the presenter, Laura said in her victim impact statement.

The family friend said that Harneet had been working in a sales job for a window company before being laid off during Covid.

Her phone and iPad were seized both times, but that “didn’t stop her”.

Kaur, who has autism, was previously banned from Liverpool’s ground for ticket touting.

The popular presenter left viewers fearing for her health last Tuesday when she worryingly appeared to faint live on ITV at the beginning of coverage of an England Women’s game.

The 38-year-old’s return to screens came just over a week after fans were left fearing for her health.

Woods collapsed just moments into coverage of the international friendly between England and Ghana.Ian Wright was giving his verdict on England’s 8-0 win over China – which took place three days before – when the presenter suddenly fell forward before dropping to the floor.

Both Wright and fellow pundit Anita Asante attempted to catch her before cameras quickly cut away and ITV went to an extended ad break.

When the broadcast returned, Woods had been replaced by Katie Shanahan.

The former talkSPORT presenter then released a statement on social media to confirm that she was fine.

Her partner, former Love Island star Adam Collard, also reassured fans that she was okay.

He said: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”

Personal trainer Adam began dating Laura, who fronted the recent Women’s Euros coverage, in October 2023 and they got engaged last September.

Woods, who gave birth to the couple’s son Leo in January, has been through thick and thin with former Love Island bad boy Adam.

The pair sadly suffered a miscarriage which Adam revealed on brutal Channel 4 series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The heartbreaking loss happened just months before Adam took part in the series.

ITV football host Laura got pregnant a month later and had their first child, but Adam says the miscarriage at 11 weeks resulted in mental torture – and a reflection on his past.

He explained: “I know it’s a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people.

“I felt like that was some high power’s way of being like, ‘Well, there you go, that’s what you have to carry’.

“So it was a lot and I’ve worked on it now, but before SAS, I didn’t get a chance. It was so soon.”

Laura also previously opened up on the grief she has experienced during once of the hardest times of her life.

She posted a clip of Adam from the show on Instagram today and wrote: “We really had some very awful times last year, but this big, beautiful man has got me through every one of them.

“And I’ve been so very proud watching him on this.”
