TOMMY FURY has teased a “big fight” he is set to announce after giving a scathing verdict on Jake Paul’s loss to Anthony Joshua.
Fury – who beat Paul in 2023 – is yet to return since beating unknown Bosnian Kenan Hanjalic last May in Hungary.
But the 2019 Love Island star – who met partner Molly-Mae Hague in the ITV villa – is due to make an announcement on his next fight.
Fury, 26, told iFL TV: “I’ve had some interesting calls to start the year off. I think we’re going to start the year off in a very big way.
“Hopefully the next fight announcement, everybody’s going to be excited about it.
“All I’m going to say is it’s going to be a very big, big, big fight. That’s all I’m going to say.”
Fury beat YouTube’s two biggest boxing stars in Paul, 28, and KSI, 23, in 2023 but was sidelined with a hand injury that required surgery.
He beat Hanjalic in a heavyweight bout on points in Budapest and has since spent time reconciling with Molly-Mae.
But his dad and coach John also spoke out on the imminent fight announcement – which caught him by surprise.
John said: “We’re trying to get big news over the line. Until it’s over the line, I’m not saying anything but it is big news, very big.

“But we’re nearly there, we have one more T to cross and we’re there. Close.
“It’s nothing to do with the cheque, it’s getting the contracts right but let’s just see. But we’re nearly over the line.
“It is big news and it will be a total surprise for everybody. I only got to know about it three days ago myself.
“It was put to us and we grabbed it with both hands.”
Fury remains linked with a rematch against Paul, who he beat via split-decision in Saudi Arabia.
The American has since been knocked out by Joshua, 36, in Miami in December where his jaw was broken in two places.
Paul – who underwent surgery – has been handed an indefinite medical suspension until he is cleared to fight again.
And Fury said: “I’ve always said, I’m not begging him for a fight, I don’t need to beg for a fight. I’m the one who holds a win over him.
“I beat him easily with one hand last time and if he wants to fight he knows where I’m at. I’ve always said that.
It’s going to be a very big, big, big fight. That’s all I’m going to say.
Tommy Fury on his next fight
“I’m not very had to get in contact with. I’m here, I’m in shape all year round, I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do in my career.
“I’m moving on with my career and if he wants to fight, I’m here. He knows that.”
Paul’s loss to AJ was seen by 33 MILLION on Netflix – but Fury said it was nothing more than a cash-grab.
He said: “It’s all money, isn’t it? Money and s*** and whatever like that.
“It’s like me fighting f***ing Usyk or something like that. It’s just b******s, isn’t it? That’s all it was, grabbing people’s attention, it sells and that’s it.
“From boxing terms, you can’t really look into it at all because one man literally looked like he was on an athletics track running around and around and AJ didn’t really break a sweat, did he?
“Just a load of s*** really. Just a money spinner, a great money spinner. Fair play to both men. Earned a fortune and they crack on.
“I’m not gonna put that down but as a boxing match, it was a one-horse race. But as a business event, fantastic.”
