TOMMY Fury has opened up on being in a “dark place” for a “long time” as he addressed overcoming the “worst year” of his life on Good Morning Britain.
The boxer took time out from celebrating his 26th birthday to appear on Wednesday’s episode of the ITV daytime series, where he issued an adorable tribute to his daughter Bambi, aged two.
Yet while he gushed over the toddler and told her how much he loved her, he avoided any mention of his reunion with Molly-Mae Hague.
GMB anchors Susanna Reid and Ed Balls also avoided any mention of the influencer, who he met on Love Island in 2019.
Tommy and Molly’s shock split came in August last year when she posted a statement to Instagram, telling fans: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
He was later accused of cheating on her with a ‘blonde stranger’ on a lads’ holiday to Macedonia – something Tommy has repeatedly denied.
The boxer then admitted that alcohol and partying was behind his split, saying: “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.
“It kills me to say it, but I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.”
In his hugely candid chat on TV Tommy told how he had “fallen into a dark place” in 2025.
He recalled the turmoil and said: “I thought sod it all.
“You go down a route for a few weeks, and you end up staying there for a long time.”
Seemingly referring to his split with Molly-Mae he said: “There has to be consequences.”
