Tom Read Wilson‘s mum has revealed the truth about his extremely posh accent after I’m A Celebrity fans were left floored by his ‘real voice’ this week.
The Celebs Go Dating receptionist, 39, has raised eyebrows since he joined the jungle camp as a late addition alongside Vogue Williams, with the pair taking on the roles of Bush Chiefs.
While he has wowed fans with his willingness to get stuck into jungle life and the Bushtucker Trials, as well as his kindness towards his fellow celebs, his extensive vocabulary and posh accent have been a talking point from the get-go.
Tom’s mum, Juliette Cheeseman, told the Daily Mail: ‘He’s very articulate. He was born with a dictionary in his mouth.
‘His father is an English teacher, so that’s where he gets it from.
‘He doesn’t get it from me, unfortunately. But he’s always been like that, which is great. Sometimes I don’t understand what he says! But it’s good.’

The proud mum added: ‘He’s just surpassed all my expectations. He’s doing so well.
‘I’ve enjoyed seeing his personality and people starting to see the real Tom – people who haven’t seen him before.
‘I just think he’s really coming across well, and hopefully that carries on. He’s great.’
She also admitted that she had no idea her son was so ‘courageous’, admitting: ‘That thing with the snakes, that was just very brave.
‘I did deep down know he was quite courageous.’
For those who missed it, Tom bravely laid down among lots of snakes during a recent Bushtucker Trial and managed to keep his cool despite one sliding up his trousers.

He added: ‘You fit the bill, you totally fit the fill babe’, much to the other campmates’ amazement.
Speaking later in the Bush Telegraph, Tom kept the acting going as he said: ‘You know what, that Tom character with all the fancy language, it is so exhausting.
‘Much nicer to hang in here.’
Then, dropping the husky tone, Tom reverted back to his familiar voice and remarked: ‘Oh God, what’s wrong with me?’
Ahead of his stint on the jungle, Tom said he had ‘never been quite so frightened’.
Speaking to Daily Mail, the beloved Celebs Go Dating receptionist said: ‘It’s funny because I got into a car the other day, and I had a little bit of a wobble.
‘And without telling the driver anything, I said, “Well, I’m just about to do this thing that’s rather challenging and I don’t know if I’m very well-equipped”.
‘I’ve got a lot of small people in my life. I’ve got five godkids and three nephews, all of whom I speak to multiple times a week and see multiple times a month. So that is going to be a real wrench. I think that’s why I had a wobble.’
