OLYMPIAN Tom Daley has revealed his behind the scenes clash with the Celebrity Traitors bosses – as he hits out at the cast for booting him off the show.
The Team GB star was murdered on The Celebrity Traitors earlier this month and he wasn’t happy about it.
Tom, who knew he would always be targeted because he knew the show, has spoken out about his exit and what it was like being on the show.
He revealed his annoyance at being murdered and said: “They got rid of people who probably would have figured it out.
“Around that first round table, you’re either waiting to be touched or not wanting to be touched. It’s really intense.
“When I wasn’t a traitor, I was annoyed. You can think, ‘Just play the game and have fun and see where we get.’ But as an athlete, I like to be in control.”
The diving star, of course, was also upset at missing out in taking part in the show’s challenges.
He told The Guardian: “As a viewer, you’re thinking, ‘I don’t really need to see all this.’
“But as a participant I wanted to be jumping out of helicopters.”
But, Tom clashed with the show’s producers when he put forward a unique idea of bringing himself back from the dead so that he could continue to take part.
He explained: “I think what they should have considered is a resurrection. Bringing someone back from the dead after, like, the first four murders.”
However, when he suggested that to the producers Tom revealed they said no which must have been disappointing for the star.
Talking about his murder Tom revealed: “I was firstly sad and then very confused about what The Traitors were doing because I clearly would be someone that would get banished at the Round Table.
“If any of the Traitors just planted that seed at the Round Table, I’m sure I would be banished.
“They could have murdered someone that they know would never have gotten banished at the Round Table.
“Maybe they thought of me as a threat. Maybe I was getting too close to the right answers.”
Speaking to Dermot and Alison on This Morning, earlier this week, Tom also lifted the lid on what really happened when he was murdered.
Alison asked Tom: “Does it happen in the morning?”
Tom said: “Yeah, you think you’re gonna go to breakfast, and they’re like ‘no, you got killed’.”
He then added how he was taken to a room where a piece of paper was waiting for him.
Dermot asked Tom: “What’s it like being in there?” to which Tom said: “It’s really intense.”
“You go in there, and you’re disconnected from everything,” he added.
Alison then asked if the cast were allowed their phones which Tom confirmed before dropping a bombshell.
Alison went on to ask: “So do you get to call your family and friends? Like on the evening? Like once or twice?”
A tense Tom replied: “I think they might have made some exceptions for people with kids.”
