ALWAYS dreamt of a white Christmas like in the movies? Well a new festive attraction coming to the UK later this year should tick the right boxes.
The immersive ‘Santa’s Winter Garden’ experience is coming to Fulham Palace, and tickets go on sale this month.
The first-of-its-kind Christmas attraction will be tucked inside the walled gardens of the former bishop’s palace, on the north bank of the River Thames in Fulham, London,
It will even have the promise of snow which has been designed with the experts behind your favourite festive movies.
The team behind Santa’s Winter Garden said: “Do you remember the snow in films like The Chronicles of Narnia or Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy — the kind that looks totally magical and completely real?
“At Santa’s Winter Garden, we’re using the very same type of professional snow effects seen across TV and movies, created by our special effects partners.”
Once you open the door to the walled garden and go inside the North Pole-inspired world, there are ‘magical surprises around every corner’.
The winter garden map reveals what you can expect – like a festive stroll through Lamplight Lane, Jingle Bell Trees and Candy Cane Walk.
There’s a Toboggan Trail so kids (and adults) can zoom about on sledges.
Families can also explore the snowy maze and the pretty winter wood too.
Areas around the gardens will be lit up with fairy lights that give the illusion of a starry night.
Afterwards, you’ll be guided to North Pole HQ where visitors can enjoy hot chocolate, mulled wine and children can decorated festive biscuits inside warm tents.
Just behind them is the final ride, a carousel.
There’s also a private Santa Experience where children and families can meet Father Christmas, reveal what they want on the big day, and take pictures.
If you’re wondering who can attend, the first year will be open to families only.
On their Instagram page, Santa’s Winter Garden responded to a comment saying that in the first year “it will be an adventure just for children and their grown-ups”.
It added: “But there are big plans for the years to follow – for Christmas fans of every age.”
If you want to bag yourself a ticket then join up to the waitlist now and you’ll get priority access with tickets going on sale from 10am on February 27.
Adult tickets start from £18 and child tickets from £36.
The experience will be at Fulham Palace House and Garden on the outskirts of Fulham right next to the Thames.
The nearest tube station is Putney Bridge – from there it’s just a six-minute walk away.
