At some point, the ubiquity of Resistance media’s ability to lie, fabricate, omit, and/or report events in the most willfully obtuse way possible, so long as it makes Trump and the Republicans look bad, becomes white noise. The firehose of false narratives pours over the rocks like Niagara Falls so consistently, one tends to lose sight at how egregious some of the example are. You get numb to it all. 

I was struck over the weekend by a few examples that in their own way, in any normal or sane world, would fracture the credibility of these outlets to such a degree that even Bari Weiss couldn’t bail them out. And yet it has the added benefit of providing excellent material for mocking and jeering. 

On August 22nd on a light rail line in greater Charlotte, North Carolina, 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska was sitting by herself, looking at her phone on the way back from her shift at Zepeddie’s Pizza. She was still wearing her uniform. She had been living in Charlotte as a political refugee from war-torn Ukraine. She fled the Russian violence there a little over a year ago and was seeking out a new life in the States. She never saw what was coming. 

Mentally ill and homeless career criminal Decarlos Brown snuck up behind her, opened up a pocket knife, and stabbed her in the neck and hacked at her until she was dead. He casually walked off the train at the next stop trailing behind him Zarutska’s blood dripping from his knife and clothing with every step he took. 

The surveillance video from the Lynx Blue Line train was released on Friday, but not without Democratic Mayor, Vi Lyles, trying to bury its release. She was begging media not to report on it or release it. 

While local media ended up making the horrific video public, and Fox News and the New York Post covering it nationally, the number of times the nucleus of Resistance media has covered the story, not just the first 24 hours after the gruesome attack, but in the 16 days that followed is…zero.





In 2023, when retired U.S. Marine Daniel Penny found himself on a Manhattan subway and another homeless lunatic was raving in a very threatening manner, threatening to kill everyone because he had nothing else to lose, stating he’d kill everyone because he’s not afraid to go to jail or die himself. Penny put the crazy man in a headlock to subdue him. Jordan Neely lost consciousness and never woke up. Penny was indicted and tried first on 2nd degree manslaughter charges, later reduced to negligent criminal homicide. He was acquitted in December of 2024. You know how I know all this? Because outlets like the New York Times wrote 100 stories on the Daniel Penny case, almost always negatively towards Penny. This was white on black crime, it was racism. Every narrative media loves to propagate was in this story, so coverage was almost daily for the length of Penny’s prosecution. 100 articles. And yet the same New York Times has not mentioned Iryna Zarutska’s name once in passing, even in writing a story about what they perceive as Donald Trump’s overreach in policing Washington, D.C. and threatening to do the same in Chicago and elsewhere.

And it’s not even television and print media that’s trying to erase the story from existence. So is Wikipedia.





White woman, even a refugee from Ukraine, killed by a deranged, homeless Black man with 14 prior arrests runs afoul of two media narratives. First, it flies in the face of the racial narrative that all major attacks are done by young, white males. Second, increasing outbursts of rampant homicidal violence like this play into Donald Trump’s hands when he’s making the case to the American people about needing to finally tackle crime in blue cities. 

NBC’s White House reporter, Yamiche Alcindor, caught up with President Trump as part of a quick press gaggle on the White House lawn before boarding Marine One to head to New York City for the U.S. Open tennis final. Her setup question was laughably embarrassing, and Trump absolutely hammered her.

There have been 25,000 murders in the city of Chicago since 2000, and Yamiche is thinking Trump’s about to start a war. And for all of the X accounts with the Ukrainian flag in their bios, trying to hang all of the death and suffering in Eastern Europe around the President’s neck, there don’t seem to be any of them who have made remarks about the savage murder of Zarutska. It’s a blackout on every outlet with an interest in keeping Democrats from sporting another rhetorical black eye. 

The second media outrage of the weekend is much less serious, but just as telling about how advanced TDS is in these people. 

Trump, as I said, headed up to Flushing Meadows in Queens to see the men’s final of the U.S. Open in Arthur Ashe Stadium. This was from one of the pool reporters covering the trip. 





Booed during the National Anthem, eh? 

Did some people boo? Sure. Were there a bunch of cheers, too, when his face was on screen? Sure sounded that way to me. Here’s another angle.

Now for the outrage. Do you know what wasn’t reported by the pool reporters, or any other media outlet for that matter? There were paid protesters outside the arena greeting the fans in line to go through security with signs, banners, and chants, encouraging match-goers to boo Trump. 

The left can’t even count on people in Queens to boo the President on their own accord, so they have to pay people to create the narrative. Everything about the Democratic Party these days is Astroturfed and gaslit. Inside, this is what Trump was doing before the match.





Not seeing a lot of boos here, either. The Daily Mail noticed some other celebrities on hand to watch the match, and how their day was ruined by Trump’s attendance. 

I don’t know about you, but seeing The Boss cause the other Boss to look like he was seeking a vendor selling a bag of prunes is exactly what I voted for.

Finally, this little entry from our delusional friends at Politico. They report on yet another promise upon which Donald Trump has failed to, pardon the pun, deliver. 

Now I’m in full agreement with the problem at hand – the U.S. fertility rate is far too low. We need another baby boom. Conservatives, Let’s Get It On. Here’s the problem. 

Donald Trump was inaugurated on January 20th. Even if every ovulating Republican female had her ankles in the air saying, “you wanna?” to her man that night, it’s only been 33 weeks. Maybe the left have so embraced the abortion culture, they’ve forgotten how long this process actually takes. 

Before I go, I feel the need to update on what I reported in last Friday’s column. I had mentioned that after President Trump ended the Secret Service detail for former Vice-President Kamala Harris, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass stepped up and assigned a 14-member team from the Metropolitan Division of the Los Angeles Police Department to patrol Harris’ street and pick up where the Secret Service left off, at Angelino taxpayers’ expense, mind you. By Sunday, Mayor Bass recalled that order. The deal is off, according to the Los Angeles Times. Now before you begin to worry about Ms. Harris’ protection at her palatial estate in Brentwood, fear not. California Governor Gavin Newsom now has the California Highway Patrol on the job. Naturally, the cost is now being spread among all California taxpayers, not just Angelinos. Swell. I guess more police on the streets is never the answer, unless it’s to protect elite liberals. 

The reason I wanted to update that story is because in Chicago, times and budgets are tight. Mayor Brandon Johnson has cut cops and security from protecting schools in the nation’s second-largest city. But as the Daily Wire’s Tony Kinnett reports, Johnson’s personal security detail has now topped the 150-person mark. That’s the military equivalent of a platoon and a half. 





I will always warn against complacency on the right, but my golly gracious are the Democrats shaping up to make this a very winnable midterm election cycle. Let us pray the left doesn’t realize what they’re doing to themselves until after the second term of Tom Cotton, which will follow the second term of Ron DeSantis, which will follow the second term of Marco Rubio, which will follow the second term of J.D. Vance. By then, I’ll probably be a worm feast, and it won’t matter to me.
