SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are the subject of a three-horse takeover race.
It is hoped a new owner will be in place early in the new year with the leading candidates revealed.

The Daily Mail report that former Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is one of the trio alongside a US consortium made up of two previously opposing groups led by John McEvoy and the Storch family.
The third party is a group involving Dunfermline Athletic co-owner James Board – a team from the Scottish Championship.
The same publication report that the Owls have a price tag in the region of £30million – and will not necessarily go for the highest price tag.
Begbies Traynor – the administrators involved – are out to secure the most money for creditors, but the EFL Owners and Directors Test also needs to be green light by a preferred candidate.
Sheffield Wednesday currently sit bottom of the Championship table after suffering a points deduction.
They sit on -9 points and have only managed one win from 19 league outings to date.
They sit a huge 29 points from safety with Portsmouth sitting just above the relegation zone on 20 points.
Norwich City are the nearest team to Wednesday in the league table – but they are on 17 points at this stage of the campaign.
