The estate agents dub the pad in Innellan, Argyll and Bute, near Glasgow, as a “great development opportunity”.
But inside, eerie photos show the scary words “HELP US!” smeared across a wall in black paint.
Despite the discovery, the estate agents make no mention of the creepy capitalised message.
They do however include images of the unsettling graffiti on their website, with the building set to go under the hammer this week.
The house is being flogged by Future Property Auctions and listed on Rightmove, with the sale set for November 13.
The official blurb describes the home as offering “massive capital growth potential” and a “stunning location” overlooking the Firth of Clyde — though buyers are warned it “requires refurbishment prior to habitation.”
A spokesperson for Future Property Auctions said: “This is obviously a great development opportunity with a lot of property for the price, perfect for anyone looking for a project.
“It recently hit the market with the seller looking for a quick turnaround going into our auction next Thursday.”
At £60,000, the seaside home might seem a steal but any buyer will need nerves of steel to look past the haunting plea painted on its walls and have deep pockets to fund the buildings transformation.
