A heartbroken couple has issued a warning after the brake lines on their motorhome were vandalised by a mystery neighbour.
Caitlin Mogridge and Shane Holley, of Falmouth, had parked their van legally on Park Terrace near their house while a skip sat on their driveway amid building work.
While positioned there, someone allegedly came along and put screws in the tires, superglued shut the petrol cap and twisted the brake lines so severely they were a safety hazard.
The couple said they only discovered the vandalism when they took the motorhome for its MOT a month early.
Ms Mogridge told The Packet: ‘When I went to pick up the van for the MOT I noticed that the tyre was flat so I pumped it up and took it to the garage.
‘When I collected it, the guy said: “Have you been in a crash?” when I said no, he said the brake lines had been twisted so excessively it was a fail.’

The mother added: ‘We’re just completely broken by it, it’s really demoralising, really upsetting and beyond that I was scared, because if I hadn’t been taking it to the MOT that day we wouldn’t have known.’
The pair has said they had made sure their van wasn’t blocking any driveways or harming anyone.
They are concerned their motorhome was targeted because someone believed that people were living in it.
The couple said they want to urge those who have been living in vans and have been targeted by vandals to speak out.
‘There is so much hate towards people living in vans,’ said Ms Mogridge.
