There Are Potholes With Deeper Intellects Than Some of These Lefties Dunking on Elon – HotAir

I get that they’re glad Elon Musk is going, going, gone. I get that they believe he had every firebombed Tesla dealership and every stock tanking coming to him for the temerity of his volunteer work. I get that they’re still royally pissed off he’s exposed them and the shell game they’ve been playing with our money over the years. Excruciatingly so, ruining nearly all the underhanded, lucrative dirty work done during the past four years, as Rip Van Biden snoozed and drooled in the White House while the Children of the Corn ran the country into the dirt and the world damn near into thermonuclear conflict.

I GET IT

But what is it about the low-class Democratic progressive elites that they simply are incapable of letting an adversary go quietly into that good night?

You’ll notice I didn’t say ‘honored,’ because they haven’t a clue what honor is, nor an appreciation for achievement outside of their own grafting circles.

Elon Musk has done extraordinary things for this country in his temporary status and paid an extraordinary price.

He now has to go back to the private sector and revive his myriad interests, where he employs lots of people, pays them salaries, and builds extraordinary things for the benefit of mankind.

Again, all are foreign concepts to the glitterati of progressive Democrats.

Hypocrisy is not, however.

The beer-swilling senator from Massachusetts, long known for the ethical standards she’s set throughout her storied, stolen academic career – and now in D.C. – had some fond words of farewell for Elon.

They weren’t exactly a poetic ‘Goodnight, schweet prince.’ But, honest Injun, you’ll snort your own cervesa at Fauxcahontas demanding ‘accountability’ from the guy who never took a dime and lost a couple billion during his volunteer gig.

What a feisty Lie-a-watha! Her war talk is sure to gitcher goommies up.

Warren swore Biden was as sharp as her auto-pen, too, don’t forget.

Okay. He’s the bad guy to the end.

They’re all doing their best to paint Musk’s departure as slinking out of town in the middle of the night.

INTELLECKSHOOULLS

Those who believe famous last names give them a leg up on the gravitas ladder.

Until they look like morons trying to be snide.

Trying too hard, and it’s too bad for them that the peasants are both truly informed and merciless these days.

At least the BBC said, ‘Well, yeah – it was time‘ before they started the ‘strained relationship’ speculation.

Elon Musk has said he is leaving the Trump administration after helping lead a tumultuous drive to shrink the size of US government that saw thousands of federal jobs axed.

In a post on his social media platform X, the world’s richest man thanked Trump for the opportunity to help run the Department of Government Efficiency, known as Doge.

The White House began “offboarding” Musk as a special government employee on Wednesday night, the BBC understands.

His role was temporary and his exit is not unexpected, but it comes a day after Musk criticised the legislative centrepiece of Trump’s agenda.

The Bee gets it.

As my friend Fred said in his piece, it was time.

…For all their ideological differences, Musk and Trump have many of the same foes. DOGE was a major front in the President’s war on the administrative state. And the realisation of certain populist goals depends upon harnessing the dynamic potential of technology. AI could, for instance, help boost manufacturing output. The American Right cannot thus afford a complete schism between tech and populism. Trump might instinctively know this. Championing space exploration has been one of the President’s marquee efforts, and Musk’s real passion isn’t cutting government — it’s going to the stars.

They’ll be vilifying Musk for ages now. There was an absolutely insane, ignorant tweet getting all sorts of play on X about how NASA never blew any rockets up, so why do SpaceX rockets explode?

Railing about what an unmitigated disaster SpaceX is for this country.

WHUT?!

Apollo 1’s Grisson, Chaffee, and White would like a word, too…if only they could.

Progressives are why we can’t have nice things or a civilized society.

Yeah. It’s time for Elon to get back to all his brainiac businesses and leave the loons to stew in their juices.

We need him back working on ‘Occupying Mars.’

(Hey – did Big Balls leave the building, too? I can’t wait to hear them weep about that.)

If Elon should ever read this, all I want is for him to know I think he’s terrific.

And from the bottom of my heart – thanks, dude.
