The explosive arguments between Leigh and Leah on the latest season of Married At First Sight UK have now made their way onto Instagram following news of Leigh’s professional footballer girlfriend.
Leigh and Leah’s relationship got off to a rocky start on the show and things soon went from bad to worse before they agreed to call it quits on their relationship.
One of their most memorable arguments on the show took place in a bar when Leigh, 30, became suspicious of her wife’s behaviour towards a woman in a bar.
It’s now emerged that the same woman – Everton player Maz Pacheco – is in a relationship with Leah, despite Leah’s insistence that they were not flirting on the show.
Leigh wrote on Instagram: ‘Shortly after myself and Leah argued on the show about my suspicions of her behaviour toward the girl in the bar, I saw a couple of comments about Leah and her new girlfriend, as it was mentioned that they’d been seen together prior to filming the show.
‘I then saw a photo of Leah and her partner in a comment section to which I then realised that, the ‘girl in the bar’ is the same person that Leah is now in a relationship with.’

Leigh hit out at her ex-wife on Instagram following the revelation, writing: ‘I then saw a photo of Leah and her partner in a comment section to which I then realised that, the ‘girl in the bar’ is the same person that Leah is now in a relationship with’
The former couple’s issues on the show initially stemmed from Leigh’s admission that Leah was too feminine for her liking, but she was willing to give the relationship a go after the pair were matched by experts.
Leigh, a clinical coder at the NHS, continued: ‘Naturally I was shocked, as I’d watched myself in the experiment be persuaded I’d over reacted for expressing my concerns at the time and had nothing to worry about.’
The statement comes after Leah confirmed her new relationship this week to Nonchalant Magazine and insisted that she only ever had a friendly chat in the bar with her now-girlfriend on the show.
The business owner, 35, explained that she’s known the sportswoman for years but it was not until after the show had ended that their relationship became romantic.
She also opened up about why she was unable to stay friends with Leigh after the experiment.
Leah said: ‘The turning point for me was when her friends and a few family members and stuff have gone out to big content showbiz creators and tried to create stories around me and my new partner.
‘[They were] saying that because it was the person I bumped into on a night out, and I’m now with her, it looks sussy.
‘[They are] trying to fabricate stories because she was in turn trying to hide something and I just think don’t cry “Let’s be nice to people’ if you’re going to try and sabotage.’

Opening up further about her new relationship, Leah explained that she has been in touch with the footballer for over a decade on Instagram and it has been ‘really nice’ getting to know her better
Opening up further about her new relationship, Leah explained that she has been in touch with the footballer for over a decade on Instagram.
She said it has been ‘really nice’ getting to know her better and forming a relationship.
But she said that the pair had never ‘hooked up’ until recently.
While Leah acknowledged that there was some truth to her ex-wife’s criticism of those in her circle, she insisted that it was not multiple people as claimed.
‘ONE person I know (not multiple friends and family members) did approach two creators on another app to make them aware of this as there was a lot of speculation. I acknowledge it was not handled correctly and for that I apologise.’
Married at First Sight UK is available to stream on Channel 4 now.
