AS Ukraine’s fate hangs in the balance between a stalemate and total capitulation, a “wild card” weapon could turn the tide in Putin’s bloody war.
In the latest episode of Battle Plans Exposed, UK intelligence officer Philip Ingram details the game-changing weapon that could save Ukraine – but potentially set off World War Three.
In Volodymyr Zelensky’s latest trip to the White House, he aimed to convince Donald Trump to give him Tomahawk missiles – pivotal arms which would help defend Ukraine and push Putin to come to the negotiating table.
And Ingram agrees that the long-range cruise missiles are vital to keeping Kyiv in the fight.

The military expert says: “The Tomahawk missile is the biggest geopolitical and military wild card on the table.
“But why is this a game changer? Well, deep strike capability.”
Tomahawks would allow Ukraine to “target military logistics and command and control centres deep inside Russian territory” – beyond the range of systems they currently possess, like Himars.
“We’re talking about hitting key supply depots, airfields, military industrial sites and even drone factories in the Russian interior,” Ingram adds.
“This capability directly threatens the logistical spine of the Russian war machine.”
Tomahawk missiles used on Russia could also force the Kremlin to pull vital assets further back, slowing supply lines and making their already poor logistics even worse, Ingram explains.
But he also reveals why Western allies have struggled to convince the US to greenlight the consequential weapons.
“Russia has warned this would mark a new level of escalation,” he says.
“The key debate now is around US political conditions and the sheer logistics of integrating such an advanced weapon.”
But even the discussion of Tomahawks has a “psychological effect” on the war.
He says: “It represents a willingness from the US to equip Ukraine and to inflict serious, long term damage on Russia‘s ability to wage war.”
The political effect of such a move would tell Putin that Trump is not on his side, but is supporting Zelensky, Ingram adds.
However, experts have warned such a move may be seen as too provocative by the Kremlin and drag the US into a Third World War.
Tomahawks are more impactful than Flamingo missiles, despite having a smaller warhead and a shorter range.
This is due to their devastating levels of accuracy.
“What Tomahawk brings over and above the Flamingo and Neptune missiles is a level of stealth and a level of accuracy,” Ingram says.
“That means that you can be much more precise and where you have that explosive effect.”

Despite all this, Ukraine’s troops have utilised their ingenuity and fighting spirit to hold on to much of its territory.
Ingram breaks down how Ukraine has created “a playbook for the future of warfare”.
He says: “The war in Ukraine has entered a critical new phase. For years, it seemed Russia’s strategy of attrition simply throwing more men and materiel at the front was slowly grinding down Ukraine’s defences.
“But something remarkable is happening on the front lines. It suggests Ukraine has found a way not just to hold the line, but to decisively counterattack.
“This isn’t just a military victory. It’s a playbook for the future of warfare.”

ON the latest edition of Harry Cole Saves The West, Harry was joined by former congressman Lt. Col. Allen West to discuss Trump’s role in Ukraine peace talks.
West believes that Trump must toughen up his stance on Putin and “go for the kill” when he has the chance at their upcoming meeting.
Trump must ensure the war is over as soon as possible but also get a guarantee from Moscow that they won’t attack another of their allies anytime soon.
West is adamant that any form of compromise from the US will be exploited and used by Putin to get exactly what he wants at the negotiating table.
He also told Harry that Trump needs to remember he is dealing with an “evil dictator”.
The colonel explained: “You have to be very careful with fence walking on this type of foreign policy when you’re dealing with a person like Putin.
“You can sit down and meet with him. You can have F-35s flying over his head, but there’s only one thing that he understands.
“And that presumably is brute force and having the windows of the Kremlin rattled with long-range American missiles.”

Ingram identifies four of Ukraine’s winning tactics in this episode.
The first is tactical retreat or trading space for time.
Ukrainian forces have become the masters of the tactical retreat which allows them to actively avoid direct combat on the ground.
They have been known to temporarily withdraw from a new tree line or desert sections of buildings that Russia has expended massive resources to occupy.
Instead of fighting a losing battle, troops allow the Russians to overextend themselves and use up gear for little gain.
Ukrainian defenders are then left with more free time to plan future attacks and build up defensive lines to cut off the Russian advance.
The second tactic is the drone trap.
Ingram says: “The moment Russian troops consolidate their new position, they’re immediately hit by saturation of attack drones – specifically cheap, ubiquitous first person view drones acting as flying precision guided munitions or flying snipers.
“This constant, relentless process denies Russia any chance to dig in or to get any rest, or to establish solid logistics.”
Another key tactic is the regular rotation of their troops.
Putin has shown a disregard for the wellbeing of his men on the frontlines with many showing signs of exhaustion that can lead to operational mistakes.
Ukraine is rotating its frontline soldiers more regularly than the Russians to keep the units fresh and prevent crucial errors.
This plays into the fourth tactic which is military discipline.
Ingram explains: “When Ukrainian troops are deployed on the front they’re used carefully with pre-determined routes, time checkpoints and reconnaissance drones overseeing their every move.
“This highlights the planning and execution that has gone into particular operations, as well as showing that the Ukrainians clearly have contingencies in place.”
