Where is the Hyatt Heathrow?

You can’t get much closer to the airport – the hotel is a short taxi ride from Terminal 5.

What is the Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport like?

The hotel is light and airy, with huge glass windows lining the lobby as well as a number of seating areas throughout.

Hotel staff were also extremely helpful, especially with my questions of airport buses and dinner times.

What are the rooms like?

The hotel has 341 rooms to choose from, with the most basic being the King or Twin bed room.

They have all the features you’d expect – a tea and coffee machine, stocked mini fridge as well as a 42″inch flat screen.

But upgrade to the rooms with runway views to watch planes land and take off.

Don’t expect to hear them though – the rooms and windows are soundproofed enough to get a great night sleep even with the proximity to the airport.

What is there to eat and drink there?

You won’t be find much else to eat nearby unless you want to head to the airport terminal.

Thankfully the restaurant The Gallery offers a small but varied menu to choose from.

My vegetable tagine was light and fluffy but packed with flavour.

I did, however, had slight food envy from the table across’s slow cooked ribs…

There is also a bar menu at Coffee to Cocktail if you want snacks like pizzas and burgers and halloumi fires.

Otherwise if you’re flight isn’t too early, there are two breakfast options – a Cold Breakfast with hot drinks and juices as well as pastries, cereals and fruit for £12.

Or the Cooked Breakfast for £20 includes a all of the ingredients for a Full English as well as the Cold Breakfast items.

What else can you do there?

There is a gym for any guests awake from jet lag, which is open 24 hours.

I also really appreciated the check in and out times – being the earlier-than-usual 2pm to check in, while the standard check out time is 12pm.

Is the hotel family-friendly?

There are Family Rooms that have a King and Single bed that sleep three.

There is also a Kids Menu at the restaurant, and kids between the ages of 3 and 12 stay free of charge,

Is there access for guests with disabilities?

Yes, the hotel is accessible, with five accessible rooms, wheelchair hotel access and a lift.
