The Traitors’ Sam Little says Rachel Duffy ‘deserves to win’ and he was never ‘remotely suspicious’ of her

Sam Little has said Rachel Duffy deserves to win The Traitors after discovering her true identity following his banishment.

The 34-year-old account manager was sent home on Thursday’s episode of the BBC series after receiving the majority of votes from his fellow players.

After his elimination, Sam met Adam Waughman on spin-off show Uncloaked where they discovered the identity of the traitors.

When Adam opened the paper and revealed the traitors were Rachel and Stephen Libby, Sam’s jaw hit the floor.

‘She deserves to win,’ he said of Rachel.

While being interviewed by Uncloaked presenter Ed Gamble, he added: ‘Rachel genuinely blew my mind. I wasn’t remotely suspicious of her.

‘At the start when she was so focused on Ross when everyone else wasn’t, I thought, that can’t be a traitor’s play.’

Adam, on the other hand, said he had his supicions of the Newry native.

‘It was the looks she gave around the table,’ he said. ‘I should’ve put my big boy pants on and said something.

‘I had my theories but I needed concrete evidence for those theories.’

Viewers asked ‘why is no one mentioning Rachel’ after Thursday’s tense roundtable where Sam was sent home.

She went completely under the radar during the episode, despite Harriet Tyce warning the other contestants she believed Rachel was a traitor in the previous episode.

But Harriet’s warning seems to have been in vain as she didn’t receive a single vote for banishment at the roundtable.

Taking to X, viewers wrote: ‘Nobody even mentioned Rachel since Harriet did last night’… ‘The trust thehy have in Rachel just blows my mind.’

‘Sorry how did Rachel not get a SINGLE vote since yesterday’s drama?!’

‘The game is now for Rachel to lose. They’ll come for Stephen eventually but they seem to be enamoured with her.’

‘Why is nobody mentioning Rachel?’… ‘I just know Harriet is watching this fuming, how are you all ignoring Rachel?!’

Some viewers hoped Jessie Stride might save the Faithfuls from total failure as she has correctly guessed Stephen as a traitor and voted for him at the roundtable.

They wrote: ‘Jessie is so so good and no one is listening! Hopefully she survives long enough for that to change’… ‘Everyone listen to Jessie!’

Jessie became increasingly frustrated about Stephen’s behaviour going under the radar, and she told the camera: ‘Every time I air my concerns about Stephen, it just gets totally dismissed. The game really does make me exhausted.’

Stephen put himself in the firing line after selfishly going for the only shield in the mission, meaning the group lost out on money.

The mission was set at host Claudia Winkleman’s eerie ‘Cabin In The Woods’, based on the horror film, with a graveyard behind. The same set was used in the Celebrity version of the show in October.

During the challenge, players received cryptic messages and had to work out a name that would be on a gravestone.

Several other names were mentioned at the roundtable including James Baker, Matthew Hyndman but it was Sam (pictured) who was sent home

They managed to bag £4,000, meaning the prize pot now stands at a whopping £54,250. With only 10 players remaining, they are all desperate for a place in the final.

Elsewhere, Rachel and Stephen decided to murder Adam Waughman, which was a risk that paid off, as they didn’t know who was shielded from murder.

‘I’ve been murdered. From hunting ghosts to becoming one. I shall live on in spirit,’ Mr Waughman said about his exit.

At the end of the episode, the Traitors decided to go back on their deal with Matthew Hyndman and not seduce him. Instead, he is on the murder shortlist alongside Ms Roux and Faraaz Noor.

He had previously told them in the Ardross Castle confession box: ‘Here’s what I want to happen. I’m taking a massive risk here, and I want to know that there is some trust.

‘I suspect Claudia will offer you the opportunity to seduce the next time you meet. I want you to turn that down and murder Jessie. And then the next time you seduce, you can seduce me. So my question is, do we have a deal?’

While they agreed at the time, Rachel and Stephen made a pact early on to have each other’s backs, and they decided it was too risky to bring someone new into the famous turret.
