The Traitors fans ‘can’t get over’ moment Rachel ‘outs herself’ in front of Faithful and nobody notices – but did YOU spot giveaway blunder?

The Traitors fans are in disbelief after the Faithful didn’t spot Rachel Duffy ‘outing herself’ as a Traitor – but did you catch the slip-up?

Claudia Winkleman chose Rachel as a Traitor in episode one, along with Stephen Libby and Hugo Lodge.

So far, banished Fiona and Harriet accused Rachel of being a Traitor – but viewers think the players missed another obvious sign.

During episode seven, Rachel told her fellow contestants at the roundtable how she had spent the past few months being trained by a former FBI agent.

In particular, this involves skills in identifying people’s ability to lie, as well as micro-expressions.

At breakfast in episode nine, Rachel claimed she’d worked out a Traitor’s identity – but wouldn’t say who until that evening’s roundtable.

Rachel has played a strong game, but has not gone entirely undetected - having survived some tense scrapes

Rachel has played a strong game, but has not gone entirely undetected – having survived some tense scrapes

The other players seemed to take her seriously, as they joined her in banishing Ellie Buckley, who revealed she was a Faithful.

Writing on social media, one fan penned: ‘I still can’t get over the fact they didn’t pile on Rachel’s ‘I have something to share at the roundtable later based on someone’s mistake last night’ play from last week.’

Another added: ‘They forget about Rachel’s ‘I have something which I’ll reveal later at the round table’ thing that led to a faithful Ellie being banished.’

A third said: ‘Surely this has to throw suspicion on Rachel!

‘Between Fiona and Harriet both going in hard and l she then brings up Ellie pretty much out of nowhere when not much talk about her was happening and she ended up being faithful, come on stop ignoring the signs.’

While a fourth commented: ‘#TheTraitors how is no one suspicious of Rachel from the fact she went so hard on Ellie.

‘Why aren’t they calling out her crap fbi training. Why aren’t they seeing how wrong shes getting her votes but proclaims to be an expert.’

Earlier in the series, Rachel found herself in an explosive confrontation with fellow Traitor Fiona Hughes

Viewers were left stunned when Fiona, 62, believed that Rachel, 42, was lying about Amanda Collier’s secret that she was a former senior police detective in the Metropolitan Police.

Fiona later called her out for being a Traitor in front of their fellow players, which left the rest of the cast in shock.

Fiona tried to defend herself, claiming she is ‘not a liar’, while Rachel hit back, saying: ‘Fiona, when you tell a lie, you are a liar.’

Ultimately, the majority of the group sided with Rachel and voted for Fiona to leave, including fellow Traitor Stephen.

Stephen broke down in tears following his betrayal and told the camera, ‘Having to use her like that is just part of the game, isn’t it.’

A triumphant Rachel added, ‘I won the battle, but I need to win the war.’

After being banished, Fiona said: 'I came in here to prove women of a certain age should be listened to, and I feel I have been listened to. Thank you all for being wonderful people'

Following the shock banishment of Fiona Hughes, Harriet Tyce decided it was her turn to take on Traitor Rachel Duffy, but there was only ever going to be one winner

Following the shock banishment of Fiona Hughes, Harriet Tyce decided it was her turn to take on Traitor Rachel Duffy, but there was only ever going to be one winner

But only a short time later, another player – this time Faithful Harriet Tyce – also went head-to-head with Rachel.

Harriet laid out her evidence and claimed Rachel has been ‘in character’ since the blindfold came off at the first roundtable.

Just hours earlier, Harriet revealed her true identity, that she is a published author of several psychological thrillers and was once a criminal barrister.

Harriet could see the discussion was not going in her favour, and she asked the group to vote her out so that she could prove her Faithful status, which they did.

Her banishment followed an explosive showdown at breakfast, where she was branded ‘rude and erratic’ by her fellow contestants.

She confidently walked in and called Rachel a Traitor in front of the full group, similar to what Fiona did.

The night prior she had the opportunity to ask the Traitors questions at Ardross Church, and was convinced it was Rachel hidden in the confession box answering her.

‘I was not going to allow another day of web weaving around me because I’ve had enough. I’m on to you. You should have killed me when you had the chance,’ she quipped.

Rachel’s continued survival and gameplay has led to viewers branding her as ‘the best Traitor to ever exist’.

In Thursday’s episode, she and fellow Traitor Stephen secretly gave the ceremonial dagger – and two votes – to James Baker.

The pair successfully eliminated Faithful Matthew Hyndman after they capitalised on James gunning for him.

One fan penned on X: ‘rachel is genuinely the best traitor to ever exist.’

Another said: ‘Rachel is one of the best traitors of all time…… #TheTraitors.’

A third chimed in: ‘Is it that Rachel and Stephen really good Traitors or the Faithfuls are just so bad at a time when you think the scent should be stronger than before #TheTraitors.’

A fourth remarked: ‘At this stage Rachel would probably get away with wearing a green cloak at breakfast… and they’d still not suspect her.’

However, Rachel;s position in the game could be at risk after Faraaz Noor voiced his suspicions of her – but will she make it through?

The Traitors continues tonight on BBC One and iPlayer.
