The curtain comes down on the PGA Tour with the RSM Classic in Georgia, a week after the DP World Tour went into winter hibernation.
But the stakes are very different in the States. Instead of battling it out at the top end of the money list as Europe’s best did in Dubai, the focus will be on staying inside the top 100, to keep a Tour card for 2026.

The RSM Classic 2025 betting tips
The guys on the bubble are usually best avoided. There is enough pressure simply on keeping a job without the added strain of trying to actually win a tournament.
So the players to back this week are those who are comfortably inside the safety line, and have shown form at Sea Island in the past – like 33-1 shot Vince Whaley.
Whaley was one of the players recommended here for last week’s Butterfield Championship in Bermuda, at 28-1. And he almost did the business, finishing in a share of third in a tight finish..
So it is a surprise to see him marked up at slightly longer odds this time, especially as the improving American has been a model of consistency, making the cut in his last 18 starts.
That run includes another third, at the Sandersons Farms, and fourth place at the Isco Championship.
He looks certain to make the breakthrough at one of these weaker events soon, and his form at Sea Island offers further encouragement – a top 15 in his debut two years ago, and eighth last year. Expect him to continue on the upgrade.
And at the same odds, Alex Smalley is also worth a second look. He finished alongside Whaley in third last week, and was fourth at the Baycurrent Classic last month. A fifth place here in 2022 is another plus.
No-one boasts better course form than Mackenzie Hughes. He has banked more cash than any other player from this event with a win, a couple of seconds, and a share of fifth last year.
Two missed cuts coming in are a concern. But at 40-1 the Canadian is still worth a small interest, especially as this really is wide open.
You can get 25-1 for any of the market leaders if you shop around – including World No 11 Harris English, the only player from the game’s top 30 in action this week.
He is a Sea Island resident, but his form in his local event is shocking. Just one top 25 in eight attempts.
Another player who lives close to the course, Brian Harman, has a better record here, without threatening to actually win it.
He disputes favouritism with English and Michael Thorbjornsen, who has not yet lived up the hype that accompanied his entry into the paid ranks.
Johnny Keefer has also been tipped for big things after topping the Korn Ferry rankings on the back of two wins, a couple of runner-up finishes, and five other top sevens.
He fluffed his lines by missing the cut in Bermuda. But at 80-1, he is worth another chance.
And a mention for 70-1 shot Sam Stevens, who is anything but consistent – but who can really turn it on when he’s in the mood.
Two second place finishes and a third earlier this year lifted Stevens into the top fifty of the world rankings. He could be due another run at the leaderboard.
