The Pee Tape People Are Big Mad Right Now – HotAir

You can’t make this up. 

The Pee Tape people are back at it, very upset that Trump and Putin are speaking. They see Trump negotiating peace with Putin as the ultimate betrayal of America and NATO, which begs the question: Why are they so desperate for war in the first place?





As hundreds of thousands of people have been slaughtered in a war that Ukraine is losing, slowly and brutally, Presidentish Joe Biden and his European allies never even spoke to Putin. Their only goal was to bleed their own taxpayers dry, and to ensure that the killing in Ukraine will continue until the last Ukrainian is dead. 

Well, not the LAST Ukrainian. They still need their money laundering mechanism to work as long as possible. Forever war appears to be their goal. 

But he was not going to bed. 

Just a couple of hours later, at 4:46 AM ET, Trump posted to Truth Social.

He wasn’t finished, he was about a drop a bombshell.

“A great and very successful day in Alaska!”

He said the meeting with Putin had gone well, as did a late-night phone call with President Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

But this wasn’t going to be a fragile ceasefire, he said. This was bigger than that.

“It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up.”

Then came the next big development.

“President Zelenskyy will be coming to D.C., the Oval Office, on Monday afternoon. If all works out, we will then schedule a meeting with President Putin. Potentially, millions of people’s lives will be saved. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

While pundits picked apart soundbites, Trump was moving the pieces into place.

Quietly. Deliberately. Relentlessly.

This is what a peacemaker looks like.

He’s done it before. He even wrote the manual.





So the old band got back together, including, of all people, Christopher Steele, John Brennan, and the Obama/Biden team to decry the fact that Donald Trump met with Putin and treated him with respect. 

It’s an interesting position to take, since none of them can explain how insulting Putin will do anything but ensure the war will continue forever. Because, in fact, their goal is to continue the war forever, and Pravda Media (how ironic in this case that I call them that) will fall in line and throw out the most absurd accusations as if they are credible. 

It’s the same old crew making the same tired accusations for the same old reasons: they hate Trump because he undermines their vision of the world order, in which the transnational elite control all the levers of power, and anybody who opposes them is slandered as a Nazi. 

I am not naive enough to believe Putin is a good guy. He isn’t. He is a KGB thug–bloodthirsty and brutal. But he is also the leader of a power that has the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, controls a good chunk of the world’s oil supply, and is slicing up its neighbor. The US and Europe are not going to invade Russia and replace Putin with our own puppet, so we have to deal with him, and no matter what the West does, Putin will control large parts of Eastern Ukraine and Crimea. 





Those are accomplished facts. Nobody is “handing” these regions to Russia. Russia has them and will continue to no matter what we do. The only issue is whether he has them and is also killing Ukrainians and bankrupting the West’s military, or whether he has them and the war is over. 

Trump used both a carrot and a stick in Alaska. Putin arrived and walked on a red carpet, but he did so surrounded by the most powerful Air Force in the world right next to his country. Trump flew a B-2 right over Putin’s head–ostensibly to honor the man, but actually reminding him who holds all the military cards. The men walked next to a line of the world’s most powerful fighter jets and got into the Beast, the symbol of the most powerful country in the world. 





Everybody is freaking out that Trump didn’t slap Putin in the face, but the only thing that could have accomplished would be killing all prospects for peace. And unlike Trump, they are scared to death of a resolution of the war. Not only would that give Trump a win, but it would undermine their own sources of power. 

Their distaste for Putin is entirely situational. They cozied up to Putin when it suited them, and use Putin as a cudgel when it suits them. 

By now, the left has shown that they are unconcerned with ethics or peace. They have sacrificed their own citizens, and dead Ukrainians are no concern of theirs. Afghani women? Who cares? A wave of crime from illegal immigrants? Not their problem. Rape gangs on the streets of Britain? Look away. 

That the media would trot out all the usual suspects–all of whom are proven liars–tells you everything you need to know. You would think they would find a new hoax, but Putin is what they have. 





And, it seems, that’s good enough for their target audience. They don’t need to convince most Americans. They just need to keep their core supporters engaged. At least that is what they think, and frankly…what else do they have?
