The Left Glories in Insulting and Suppressing Ordinary Americans – HotAir

One of the most striking things about the Biden years was the proliferation of…idiosyncratic…”public servants” and, in particular, how obviously their presence was shoved in our face.

We went from being asked to tolerate “idiosyncracies” when they were expressed in private life (which seems fair) to embracing the authority of “experts” who clearly hate us.

There are lots of examples, but the two which have popped up in the news due to their finally departing government are Rachel Levine and Demetre C. Daskalakis MD MPH (he/his/him). Levine was booted, Daskalakis resigned, and walked out the door. Levine, who was presented as one of the government’s top health officials (she’s an Admiral!) was a transgender activist who pushed all-ages “gender affirming care,” and Daskalakis was in charge of vaccines and Biden’s Monkeypox czar.

It stretches credibility to assert that these are the most qualified people in America for their jobs; they were installed for DEI reasons, and promoted as public figures specifically to insult ordinary Americans and divide people. For all the talk about tolerating people’s private lives, what made these people controversial was that their proclivities were very public and shoved in our faces.

Daskalakis is into bondage and sadism. He has talked of summoning demons. He shoves his sexual life in our face and distributes pictures of himself wearing leather pentagrams.

After years of the CDC pushing mask mandates to reduce the risk of COVID spreading (they didn’t), Daskalakis literally went on TV promoting gay sex orgies despite the risk of spreading Monkeypox. Why? Because you don’t want to suppress “joy.”

Sure, you couldn’t go to church during the pandemic, or funerals, or visit your dying relatives, or go to sports events or movies. But your joy doesn’t matter in the least, because you aren’t “Queer.” The standards are different. Kids couldn’t skateboard, people couldn’t surf, playgrounds were closed, but the orgies must go on.

I really don’t care about what Daskalakis does in the privacy of his own home, but he sure cares about letting us know by doing it out in public, getting on the cover of magazines in Satanic outfits, and explicitly creating separate standards for behavior based on sexual preference and pronouns.

He says he is worried that we won’t be getting good advice from the CDC–advice like “have unprotected orgies during a sexual disease pandemic–despite the fact that nobody trusts the CDC because of people like him. Nobody cares whether their doctor is gay; most of us care when the guy is a Satanist exposing his genitals in public. At minimum, it’s unprofessional.

During the Biden administration, we were presented a series of “experts” who looked, to most of us, like freaks. That was the whole point. It was intended as a signal that all of us will be ruled by freaks.

Worried about nuclear waste? Here’s our luggage-stealing cross-dressing nuclear expert to take care of it for you.

Most liberals will trot out the “private life” excuse, which is crap, and they know it. Public health officials are there to generate confidence and trust, and these people do the opposite. The message was “sit down, shut up, eat crap, and like it.” The President of the United States devoted an entire day to celebrating transgenderism on the White House lawn, complete with public nudity.

This has nothing to do with “acceptance” and everything to do with insulting our values. It’s the difference between Scott Bessent and Demetre C. Daskalakis. Bessent has a public life and a private life. Daskalakis lets it all hang out, literally. I have no right to care about what Bessent does behind closed doors. I have every right to care what a public health official does for all the world to see. It’s pretty simple.

On his way out the door, Demetre Daskalakis made a plea for retaining the insane alphabet language–it was one of his primary complaints that “mother” would be used instead of “pregnant people.” This isn’t a matter of terminology–it is staking out a clear position in the culture war and asserting that the vast majority of Americans are bigots.

Those are the people he was there to serve, and his response was, “You are an awful person.”

That was the message of the Biden administration in most things. Biden spent an inordinate amount of time insulting Americans. Ranting from the pulpit about us being Nazis and an existential threat to democracy.

This is what inspires trust?

As for the CDC? His colleagues–who lied to us for years about COVID–are sorry to see him go. I don’t know if that is because they will miss the sex shows, but I do know that it is a sign that they hate us.

There are many ironies involved in Daskalakis’ departure, not the least of which is that he believes that the CDC will lose credibility when he and his supporters are gone.

Ha! The CDC lost credibility by doing its job poorly, lying to the American people, and making arbitrary rules such as “don’t go to church; go to riots instead.”

We’ll have to see whether Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. does a good job or not–the proof will be in the pudding. But I can say for certain that the current crop at the CDC has beclowned itself and has lost all credibility. That has nothing to do with Trump or Kennedy. Both have been around for decades, but the decline in trust is recent.

It is their failure that did it. And their response has been to insult us. Bow down to Queer ideology! Pentagrams are cool! Try an orgy!

But put on your mask.
