Some of them have been on the market for nearly seven years but still haven’t been shifted.
For context, the average time to sell a home in the UK is 64 days from when it’s first marketed, or just over two months, according to Rightmove.
London is prominent for properties being stuck on the market for years, even with its huge demand for housing, property prices appear to be too much so they languish on Rightmove.
This is the case for our first pick:

This exquisite six bedroom, six bathroom Grade I house in Regent’s Park, London, is the most expensive home on our list at an eyewatering £25million on Rightmove.
Across its massive 9,213sq ft there is a library/cigar room, a club room, mirror whiskey bar and humidor, a multipurpose second club room with media facilities, a fully equipped gym, a steam room and much more.
The master bedroom suite occupies the entire second floor while there are four further guest suites and marble bathrooms in the house.
Despite this opulence and state of the art design, this property has not been able to sell for nearly four years, being listed in February 2022.
This is being sold as a leasehold which has 148 years left on it – it equates to about £170,000 each year on the lease.

8. Viewvale House, New Road, Bannockburn, Stirling, Stirlingshire – £775,000
This property has eight bedrooms and five bathrooms but is the least expensive home on our list at £775,000

This is the least expensive property on the list at £775,000 but that doesn’t seemed to have helped it sell since it was listed on Rightmove in August 2022.
This beautiful mansion was built in 1854 in the French Renaissance style and extended in the 1890s with a new north eastern wing and top floor.
It has eight bedrooms and five bathrooms across nearly 6,000 sq ft as well as a gated driveway, garden, billiard room and library.
The property also has a coach house which has the potential for redevelopment and the principal bedroom features a jacuzzi bath.
9. Llechryd, Cardigan – £3,500,000
This gorgeous mansion was built in 1854 and was once owned by Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin

However, sellers have not been able to shift it since it was listed in June 2023.
