She was the round-faced, stroppy teenager who catapulted to global fame when her parents Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne allowed TV cameras into their Beverly Hills home in 2002.
Moody and slovenly, Kelly wore oversized T-shirts and regularly dyed her hair. As for her mother, she was the multi-million-pound nag who became the butt of tabloid jokes for her ‘mumsy’ and even frumpy appearance.
Despite their dowdy style, the pair became a global phenomenon as they shared their wild antics with Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy and his son Jack over four seasons of The Osbournes.
But, while their fame has grown in the 23 years since they first stepped in front of the cameras, the women of the Osbourne clan have become a little – well – smaller.
Because Sharon, Kelly and even Aimee – Sharon and Ozzy’s eldest daughter who refused to take part in the MTV programme – have sparked health concerns after shocking fans with their emaciated frames.
Last weekend Aimee, a 41-year-old actress and singer, looked noticeably thinner as she was pictured pushing a suitcase outside a Manchester hotel.
Just one week before, her younger sister Kelly, 38, also looked a shadow of her former self when she attended DJ Fat Tony’s wedding at the swanky Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square alongside singer Boy George and presenter Davina McCall.
Dressed in a black dress, she showed off a much bonier physique than she had in the past, when she weighed more than 11st.

Meanwhile former X Factor judge Sharon, 72, who has been vocal about starting and stopping weight loss drug Ozempic more than a year ago, appeared frail while walking in Los Angeles last month.
The fact that all three women look so tiny has prompted much speculation as to why – and how – they have achieved their new slimmed-down looks.
Those who know the Osbournes say that weight and appearance are key to their family life – something that goes back to their high profile in showbusiness.
‘Weight has been central to the Osbournes for some time,’ one friend says.
‘Kelly was always a little rounder, Jack at times was massive, and Aimee, well, she was normal sized but we didn’t see much of her on TV.
‘Then they watched the weight fall off of their mother Sharon and, as she found fame once again on The X Factor, the nips and tucks started to take place and it frankly all became about image.
‘Imagine what it was like for Kelly who had a tendency to put weight on while her mum got thinner and thinner and very, very glamorous.
‘Aimee might have moved out of the Osbourne house when The Osbournes started but she still grew up in Beverly Hills, where image is everything.’
The friend added that Kelly experienced a lot of bullying growing up near Hollywood as the daughter of such a successful music duo both before and after the show.
‘It all sounds rather glamorous to go on television and become really famous but Kelly got picked on over her looks. It became a real issue for her in her life,’ they added.

‘With hindsight, you wonder whether Ozzy and Sharon would do the show again if they had the chance.’
Kelly’s latest appearance has prompted talk that she has used Ozempic like her mother – which she has never confirmed.
However, she opened up about her weight loss journey in 2020 when she underwent gastric bypass surgery and cut out sugar and carbohydrates. Since then, she has reportedly lost up to 6st.
Now a singer and actress, the mother-of-one said she had previously struggled with terrible self-esteem issues and had voices in her head telling her: ‘You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re not good enough, no one likes you, you don’t deserve this, people only like you because of who your parents are.’
To help cope, she developed an addiction to painkillers at the age of 13 – at one point popping as many as 50 pills a day.
But, after coming clean in 2017, she ‘replaced the drugs with food’.
She has previously admitted: ‘I just got fatter and fatter… I’m an emotional eater.’
As for the notoriously private Aimee, she is yet to comment on the secrets behind her weight loss. However, she has also been accused of using Ozempic, with some cruel trolls saying that she resembles ‘Sharon 2.0.’
Those who know Aimee say only that she has always ‘been keen to protect her wellbeing’ – which was a key factor in her decision not to appear on the family reality show.
Meanwhile, Sharon, 72, is the only one to have admitted taking Ozempic – saying that she lost ‘three stone in four months’ while using the jabs in 2023.

She later warned that she was ‘through’ with weight loss, telling the Daily Mail that year: ‘I’m too gaunt, and I can’t put any weight on.
‘I want to because I feel I’m too skinny. I’m under 100lbs, and I don’t want to be. Be careful what you wish for.’
Indeed, recent pictures of the TV personality suggest her worries may still be well founded.
‘Sharon is smaller than Kylie Minogue now, she is absolutely tiny,’ a source tells me.
‘There is nothing she can do to get the weight back on. She could have a whole roast but it wouldn’t make any difference.
‘She keeps being told not to show her arms as they just look so small. It’s terrible. It’s so worrying for her.’
And that’s not the only health worry affecting the Osbourne family.
Sources say that Ozzy, 76, is also frail and can no longer walk after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019.

He is due to be appearing at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5 to celebrate Black Sabbath in the rock band’s final ever show, ‘Back To The Beginning’.
There he will stand on stage again with original members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward as they reunite for the first time in 20 years.
Ozzy is filming the concert for a new Paramount+ documentary, titled No Escape From Now, which will chronicle his health issues as well.
However, one issue that is playing on the minds of Sharon and her three children is how they will get him to the UK. Determined not to let Black Sabbath fans down, they are looking at the possibility of flying him over on a private jet with medics at his side.
A family source said: ‘Ozzy really isn’t in a good way and it is really hard for Sharon and the kids who worry about him all of the time.
‘They have watched him have to suffer so much and they know how happy it would make him to be on stage one last time. They are desperate to make it happen so they can all be there to watch him one last time in what will be a huge family moment for them.’
The main spectacle may not be Ozzy next month, however, but the three women in his life – even if they are shrinking from the limelight.
