You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn’t get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
~ Jim Morrison, The Doors
Over a four-day stretch this month, beginning May 8 and ending on May 12, there were a series of arson attacks in scattered neighborhoods in London.
The first was a vehicle fire in NW5 on the 8th…
…One resident told The Sun he heard a “loud bang” on Wednesday and saw a 4×4 catch fire on the opposite side if the road.
Dan Nicholson, 36, said he called police after spotting the vehicle burning.
He told The Sun: “I heard a loud noise and looked out of my window at 3am and there was a car on fire.
“I called the police and shortly afterwards the fire brigade turned up.
“It was pretty dramatic. It was mad.
…followed by a suspicious house fire on the 11th. That broke out at the entrance to a home in the NW7 area of London.
No one was hurt in either incident.
Nor, thankfully, the one at a little before 0130 the very next morning, when some sort of incendiary device was thrown at the entrance of a £2 million north London home, charring the entryway and scaring the hell out of the neighbors thanks to the initial loud bang of the explosion.
This firebomb got Scotland Yard’s attention because the home belongs to Prime Minister Keir Starmer. It’s where he and his wife lived until moving to Downing Street, and is currently rented to his sister-in-law.
Counter-terror police are leading an investigation into a suspected “firebomb” attack at Sir Keir Starmer’s north London home.
A suspicious blaze broke out at the property in Tufnell Park at just after 1.30am on Monday, with neighbours saying police had searched gardens for a “projectile”.
…Neighbours in the quiet, tree-lined street described how they were woken by a loud bang in the early hours.
Charles Grant, 66, who lives on the same road, said: “Police searched my garden and said they were looking for something somebody had thrown but they didn’t find anything. They said they were looking for a projectile.
“From what other people have told me today, I gather someone threw a firebomb at Keir Starmer’s house.”
He added: “I heard a loud noise at around midnight. I was half asleep. It was some sort of bang. I went back to sleep. I don’t think the damage was too extensive as the house is still standing.
“The front door and the brickwork on either side is black and charred but the door is still standing. It smells of burnt stuff.
But, what, ho – hang on a second.
Was there any connection with the other…oh, dear.
…It has also emerged a vehicle targeted in a separate attack on Thursday was reportedly a 4×4 that used to belong to Sir Keir’s family and was sold to a neighbour.
Video and pictures show the car bursting into flames.
And did it ever. This car in flames in the early morning hours of May 8, was parked across the street from the house that was firebombed on the 12th.
Turns out, the home damaged by the earlier fire also had Starmer connections.
…In the early hours of Sunday 11 May, firefighters dealt with a small fire at the front door of a house converted into flats in nearby Islington – a property the prime minister lived at during the 1990s.
One person had to be rescued by firefighters who were using breathing apparatus.
According to reports, the person who was helped from the converted flats property after fire crews showed up would subsequently be arrested.
…One person was helped from the property following a small fire at the front door of a house converted into flats on Sunday, London Fire Brigade said.
The man, 21, arrested by police has been held on suspicion of starting all three fires.
British security had to be flipping out, as well as any neighbors who lived near anything associated with the PM.

Who could possibly be doing this? Was it in answer to the immigration crackdown he’d finally announced? Angry Brexiteers, made about the reapproachment to the EU? Bulgarians being sentenced for spying for Russia?
Only a million different possible motives and suspects. Counterterrorism police were baffled and asked for more time to hold the suspect.
Counter terrorism police are mystified over the motive for the firebomb attacks targeting Sir Keir Starmer.
Officers are set to ask for more time this afternoon to question a 21-year-old alleged arsonist arrested on suspicion of targeting the Prime Minister’s £2million family home in Kentish Town after torching a car and another property he had previously owned.
Specialist detectives from Scotland Yard’s SO15 counter-terror branch are exploring various lines of inquiry which will include whether a fixated individual bore a personal grudge against Sir Keir.
Starmer condemned the ‘attacks on democracy.’
Arson attacks on properties linked to the Prime Minister are “an attack on all of us, on democracy and the values that we stand for”, Sir Keir Starmer has told the House of Commons.
By the 15th, the suspect the police had snatched up after the last fire was being named and formally charged.
A Ukrainian man charged in connection with a series of arson attacks allegedly targeting the Prime Minister has been pictured.
Roman Lavrynovych, 21, of Sydenham, south London, is due to appear before Westminster magistrates’ court on Friday accused of three counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

Gets odder when a second, Ukrainian-born, sweet young thing was picked up as an accomplice to the crimes. This one also had modeling aspirations.
A second man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged in relation to suspected arson at two properties and to a car linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Romanian national Stanislav Carpiuc, 26, from Romford, was charged with conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life following the fires in north London.
…Mr Carpiuc, who was born in Ukraine but has Romanian nationality, used a Russian language interpreter in court.
…He works in construction, is an aspiring actor and model, and has recently finished a business degree at Christchurch University, Canterbury. He lives in Chadwell Heath, Romford and has been in the UK for nine years.
Mr Lavrynovych is also a builder and an aspiring model.
So far, these are pretty boys to be doing such bad things.

One wonders why?

Maybe the third guy, so far unnamed and uncharged, whom police picked up yesterday, will be able to flesh out some dirty details on what is now obviously some sort of a sloppy and sinister plot.
A third man has been arrested in connection with a series of arson attacks linked to Keir Starmer.
The 34-year-old was detained this morning in the Chelsea area of south west London.
It follows previous arrests related to three separate fire incidents earlier this month.
It does have people wondering.
Typical. Just like buses.
You go through life with not a single person plotting arson against you and then suddenly three turn up at once.— Alan (@A1an_M) May 19, 2025
How do two, perhaps three young foreigners know so much detail about a British Prime Minister’s real estate holdings, and even up to exactly what car he used to drive?

The Russians? Maybe.
Maybe not.
I’m more in the ‘not’ camp. The Russians normally don’t hire what are being called ‘rent boys‘ online to do their professional work.
But these pretty posers sure knew an awful lot about Starmer’s previous personal life to target bits of it, considering who they are.
Weird, huh?
