MANY people are tempted to start selling on eBay and Vinted to make some extra cash, but it can be tricky knowing which items will sell best.
One Vinted whizz, who makes cash on the reselling app part-time, has revealed the two items that are selling quickest for her and raking in cash.
Liv Needlam, who posts under @thelivneedham, advised that the first thing you should look out for to resell are fleeces.
If your local charity shop has them going cheap, they could be a quick flip on Vinted if you list them well.
In a clip that has racked up hundreds of likes, she shared: “Here’s some things that have sold really quickly on my Vinted recently.
“So firstly, crazy fleeces, no matter what the brand.
“This was a Craghoppers one, so already a good brand anyway, but any kind of fleece with crazy funky pattern.”
She explained how her Craghoppers fleece sold “so quickly” for £20, while an Asos patterned design sold for £15.
Liv continued that she sold a vintage “crazy fleece” for £15 and an army camouflage design one went for £10.
She added: “I didn’t realise how quick it would sell, but it didn’t have a brand.”
The second item that she said has been raking in the sales were lacy bodysuits from Boohoo and PrettyLittleThing.
Liv explained: “I have sold so many of them in all different sizes from 8 up to 18 and different colours.
“They have sold literally within a day or two of me listing them, and I’ve sold over 10 of them easily.”
Title trick
One of her top tips is to add upcoming celebrations into the listing description so people can visualise what they’d use it for.
The selling whizz explained: “I put Valentine’s Day in my title, and I think that that’s why people were buying them.
“So definitely worth looking at what kind of events are coming up and focus on that.”
How to boost sales
If you are trying to make some extra cash on Vinted – there may be some top tricks to help boost sales.
A seller who has made £2,000 on the listing site this month has revealed how she rakes in sales using a few simple tips.
Hollie Hoath runs her fashion store Y2K fashion out of a 20ft storage container as she has too much stock to keep in her home.
She advised that you need to rake in the cash you need to “list, list, list, list” and “relist, relist, relist, and relist.”
Hollie said you need to keep your account busy and active, and things are selling, don’t give up but put them back up.
The Vinted seller advised that if items haven’t sold in a month, she will relist them to help get a sale.
Her next piece of advice was about converting these offers into actual sales and said she’ll message the potential buyers saying: “I’m posting today if you want this.”
