Saturday night’s episode once again saw 100 contestants try and make it to the 1% question and be in with a chance to win a share of the jackpot.

The hit ITV show tests the audience’s logic and common sense rather than their general knowledge.

But the 15% question saw several contestants crash out of the running thanks to a head-scratcher.

Lee asked the question: “Which of these groups of six symbols are in the same order whether you read them from left to right or right to left?”

He joked: “This is basically what we had to use before emojis.”

Lee then revealed the correct answer was C.

Eight people were eliminated, meaning they couldn’t continue towards the final question and a share of the jackpot.

Also in the episode, viewers were left shocked as 11 contestants passed on what they thought was an “obvious” question.

The 50% question read: “The nine-letter name of which insect is written below with its letters in alphabetical order?”

The image showed alternating black and yellow blocks with capital letters inside them which you had to rearrange to make a name of an insect.

The 1% Club viewers shocked as contestants pass on ‘obvious’ question – but did you get it right?

Lee announced that the correct answer was Bumblebee.

Taking to social media, one viewer wrote: “11 didn’t know the answer ? wtf. That was easy beesy #the1percentclub”

Another added: “Even the colours are a giveaway. #The1PercentClub”
