Terrifying moment parking warden shoved to the floor & repeatedly punched after slapping ticket on driver’s windscreen

THIS is the terrifying moment a parking warden was shoved to the floor and punched after placing a ticket on a driver’s windscreen.

Shocking footage captured on the parking attendant’s bodycam shows driver Tariq Stanley erupting into violence after receiving the ticket in Gravesend, Kent, in November 2023.

The driver then launched a violent attack on the traffic warden, throwing him to the ground and repeatedly punching him

A parking enforcement manager at the local authority said the attack – which left the parking warden with lasting psychological harm – was the worst his team has had to deal with.

The traffic warden can be seen talking to Stanley at the start of the clip, saying: “Before you said you were waiting for your girlfriend, now you’ve said you’re loading.”

In response, Stanley replies: “There’s a baby in the back that I’m loading,” motioning to the rear seats of his car.

Then, the warden explains that he will issue Stanley with a ticket if he does not move.

A short while later, the parking attendant can be seen preparing a ticket to place on Stanley’s windscreen, to which the frustrated driver says: “I’ve got this all on video you know”.

After the traffic warden casually places the ticket on Stanley’s windscreen, the motorist aggressively rips it off, throwing it to the ground.

The cool attendant can be heard saying: “That’s fine sir, you throw it,” before Stanley eerily responds: “You’ll get what’s coming to you, don’t worry.”

As the warden walks towards the rear of the vehicle, saying: “I gave you a chance, you’re arguing – that’s fine,” Stanley can be heard getting out of the car, slamming his door, before launching an attack.

He appears to shout: “What is wrong with you. Who do you think you are?” as he repeatedly kicks and punches the traffic warden, throwing him to the ground.

A passerby can then be heard interjecting, shouting: “Stop it. Get off him.”

Stanley exclaims: “I’ve got a baby in the car, he’s trying to give me a ticket for what?”

After the warden asks him again to move, Stanley explodes into further violence, shouting: “What’s wrong with you?” at the warden.

The passerby then once again pleads to Stanley to stop his attack, saying he was “only going to make it worse”.

Eventually, Stanley relinquishes from his violence, letting the warden stand up.

The driver, now aged 33, was charged with robbery in relation to the attack – having also taken the warden’s phone, KentOnline reported.

It also reported that Stanley was subsequently jailed for eight months.

As for the warden, he sadly left his job after struggling to recover from the attack, a traffic enforcement manager for the area said.

He said: “The guy refused to move, so the officer explained that he’s going to have no other option but to issue a ticket.

“He issued the ticket, and the guy just literally went berserk.

“He leapt out of the car, ran over to him, chucked him to the ground, and was punching him on the ground.

“Fortunately, the security guard from B&M and a couple of pedestrians came to his help – it was only then that the guy got off of him, jumped in the car, and drove off.”

Kent Police was approached for comment by The Sun.
