Terraced two-bedroom house in Northamptonshire goes on sale for £165,000 but people surprised by the ‘crazy’ and ‘chaotic’ decor

A seemingly ordinary home in Northamptonshire has been put on the market for £165,000, but its contrasting interior has left some shocked.

The yellow property located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, appears to be similar to every other house on the perfectly ordinary street.

But one step inside the home tells an entirely different story, leaving some surprised by its ‘crazy’ and ‘chaotic’ décor.

Baroque-style wallpaper is sprawled along the hallways walls, which are also adorned with various photographs from different time periods as well as mirrors.

Bright pink beads drape down from a door frame, as its flamboyant and bright red carpet and fuchsia lamp clash with the walls.

The theme continues into the living room of the two-bedroom property, as striped as well as floral blue paper decorates the walls alongside several photographs.

Accents of bright pink continue throughout the room, as a table draped in a multicoloured table cloth sits at the centre.

China plates as well as what appears to be collectable toys sit on a cabinet, staring down any visitors who may sit on the sofa.

A TikTok user who goes by Housing Horrors, described the homely property as ‘organised chaos’.

‘There is so much going on, I almost don’t know where to look,’ the social media user said: ‘But at the same time it also looks organised.

‘This place does look very well lived in, very loving home, very caring family whoever lives here but there is just a lot going on.’

And the eccentric theme also runs into the kitchen, with the fridge as well as multiple cupboards drowned in brightly coloured fruit magnets and letters.

The TikTok user also noted that the kitchen, drowned with copious amounts of fridge magnets, was in his opinion, ‘the icing on the cake’.

'A lot of colours, a lot of quirky things but its safe to say whoever lived in that property loves that style, and I actually quite like it, it is kind of cool,' the TikTok user said

Upstairs, while the rooms appear to have adopted a 70s-esque, there is slightly less décor in general.

However potential buyers may have some work on their hands when it comes to the property’s exterior, as there is a dilapidated outbuilding in the backyard.

‘It’s safe to say that this is the definition of organised chaos,’ Housing Horrors told his following of 153,000.
