1.20 Rising Stars Chase

KOKTAIL DIVIN won here last season over hurdles and has done well on both chase starts since switching to the bigger obstacles.

He was second on debut at Down Royal before leaving that form behind when second in a Punchestown Grade 2 last month.

That was a hot contest and he can put his experience to good use and go one better today.

1.55 Christmas Hurdle

BOB OLINGER looks a big price given he won the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham last time out in March when he got the better of ownermate and today’s rival Teahupoo who may find the ground a little on the lively side.

Bob Olinger was a good second in this race 12 months ago and is backable at an each-way price today.

Trainer Henry De Bromhead is in fine form and another good run is on the cards.

Ballyburn heads the betting and was just beaten on the nod by Teahupoo at Fairyhouse last time where he was hampered at a crucial stage.

It will be a surprise if the winner doesn’t come from these three.

2.30 Savills Chase

GALOPIN DES CHAMPS has an amazing record over fences at Leopardstown.

He has won all seven starts around here and six of those have come at Grade 1 level.

The past two runnings of this race are on his CV and he can just edge out his Cheltenham Gold Cup conqueror Inothewayurthinkin.

He was disappointing on return in the John Durkan at Punchestown but the 2m4f of that race is much too sharp.

This trip will suit better but he would benefit from the Cheltenham hill at the end to bring out his best.
