MARRIED At First Sight UK fans are furious with groom Joe after he failed to be honest with his wife Maeve.
E4 viewers begged him to “tell her the truth” after tonight’s episode as he looked like he wasn’t feeling the marriage.
The pair had a heated argument in Monday’s instalment, suggesting they could be heading for an early divorce.
Maeve was crushed to learn she’d be heading to another dinner party alone when Joe explained he would be attending a family funeral.
But, despite his personal issues, fans insisted Joe has already checked out of the marriage.
“omg Joe, please I beg TELL HER THE TRUTH,” one viewer wrote on X.
Someone else said: “To be fair Joe you’ve told everyone but Maeve all this. So it is gonna blindside her now.”
While a third penned: “Joe needs to be upfront about how he feels about maeve … this dragging is very upsetting.”
“I feel really bad for Maeve,” a fourth penned. “Joe has clearly checked out.
Another concluded: “The problem with Joe and Maeve is that they are fundamentally incompatible and they both knew it.
“They tried to supress certain parts of themselves to make it work.
“Now Joe is grieving and he can’t be bothered to fake it so everything is crumbling.”
Joe and Maeve came to blows in tonight’s episode over a conversation about spending time with each other.
“F**ck you,” Maeve slammed, as Joe asked, “Why are you saying f*k you?”
“I really do want to have these discussions, but it’s not easy talking to Maeve about these things.
She does just go off on one very easily.
“I don’t like drama. I don’t like confrontation.”
Maeve fired back, “Don’t blame this all on me.”
While Joe responded, “I’m not blaming it on you. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m right.
“I just feel like I can’t give a definitive answer on what’s going on.”
“If you’re not coming back, just say because then I can go,” Maeve explained.
Joe replied, “I’ve got every intention of coming back.”
But Maeve still wasn’t sure, responding, “I don’t know. I totally get your head is all over, and you’ve got a massive thing that you need to do back at home.
“But I feel right now that you’re taking a step back.
“Joe means absolute world to me. Ideally, we could work through this. But right now, I don’t know if he’s thinking the same.”
