Martin Schindler was the surprise winner in 2024 after pulling off a sensational comeback to beat Ryan Searle 8-7.

And as a result, the German ace banked £30,000 to go with lifting the Swiss title.

But if Schindler is to get another nice payday in Basel, he’ll have to overcome the likes of World No1 Luke Humphries, English hero Stephen Bunting and flying Dutchman, Michael van Gerwen.

However, fans have been left disappointed as teen superstar Luke Littler has decided not to enter this time around.

And the winner is set to take home a lion’s share of £30,000 which matches Martin Schindler’s earnings for his 2024 triumph.
