Supermarket launch 1p sale on plants slashed down from £5 as shoppers fill their trolleys & say they ‘need all of them’

WHILE the summer doesn’t seem to be leaving us any time soon, many stores have launched their summer sale.

And one supermarket seems to have joined the bandwagon as they slash the price of plants to just 1p.

Natalie O’beirnes took to social media to alert people that the sale had started.

The savvy shopper had taken her trolley and filled it with a variety of plants.

She had seven different succulents bagged as well as three potted flowers in pink, yellow and orange.

In total, she spent just 10p on the lot, despite some of the plants selling for £5 the other week.

She wrote: “Sainsbury’s penny succulents, there were loads!”

She shared the haul with the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK, which boasts over 2 million members.

People were quick to take to the comments wanting to get in on the sale as well.

One person wrote: “These look great! Wow.”

Another commented: “Get yourself to Sainsbury’s!!”

“I need to go lol. I need all of them in my life. I will get them for home and for work,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “We need to go look at our Sainsbury’s.”

“Have to check tonight,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Need to visit all the Sainsbury’s!!”

Another major store, Dunelm, has sent shoppers into a frenzy after flogging a garden fire pit scanning for less than £10.

The summer essential originally retailed for £39.

After being reduced to £27, it has just undergone a massive price drop.

Shoppers can now bag themselves a bargain and pick up the fire pit for just £9.75.

The portable fire pit has a folding leg feature, which makes it easy to store during the winter months.

It also comes with a handy fire poker to keep your pit burning, and a lid to stop the embers from spitting.

The product description also highlights that it is easy to assemble, making it the perfect, practical addition to your home.
