For all those not drinking alcohol this January, they might be drinking mocktails instead.

National Mocktail Week in the United States falls in the second week of Dry January.

This is a good week to create some delicious alcohol-free cocktails.

Sun Bingo has rounded up various mocktail recipes and reviews of non-alcoholic alternatives for you to try.

Mocktail recipes

If you have a go-to cocktail option, you might be searching for a specific mocktail alternative.

Fans of a Tom Collins, Spiced Mojito or Bellini can find alcohol-free versions here.

Mrs Crunch is once again here to save the day, delivering tasty food and drinks recipes that work on a budget.

Although these recipes were inspired by summer tipples, there’s no reason they can’t be enjoyed when the weather is a bit nippier.

WE HOST 40 FREE BINGO GAMES EVERY DAY

Mrs Crunch has recipes for the following mocktails:

  • Strawberry daiquiri (serves one)
  • Sparkling ice tea (serves two)
  • Virgin Mary (serves one)
  • Booze-free sangria (serves eight)

In 2022, The Cocktail Guy, Rich Woods, partnered with SodaStream to commission research and create a “Fizz-tive Menu” of low and no-alcohol drinks.

While the festive period may have passed, that doesn’t mean that this mocktail take on a White Sangria is any less tasty.

HOW TO PLAY BINGO FOR A PENNY

The Sun’s Natasha Harding put Colleen Graham’s mocktail book, Free Spirited: 60 No/Lo Cocktail Recipes For The Sober Curious, to the test.

She rated the Virgin Bloody Mary (serves one), Perfect Mojito (serves one), White Grape Sundowner (serves one), Lemon Drop Martini (serves one) and Cranberry Basil Sangria (serves four).

Pre-mixed mocktail reviews

Nowadays, the supermarkets are awash with alcohol-free options.

Some taste just as good, if not better, than the original. Others don’t quite hit the spot.

The review considers taste, cost and calorie count. The drinks under the microscope are:

  • J2O Mocktails – White Peach & Mango Daiquiri
  • Belvoir Non-Alcoholic Lime & Yuzu Mojito
  • Kopparberg Gin Strawberry & Lime Alcohol Free
