TOTTENHAM fans have raged at goalkeeper Vicario after he made a horrendous mistake to hand Fulham an early 2-0 lead.
Spurs were hoping to bounce back from their dismal 4-1 loss to Arsenal in the North London Derby against the Cottagers on Saturday night.
But they went 1-0 down in the first four minutes through Kenny Tete’s deflected strike – and Vicario’s moment of madness gifted them a second two minutes later.
The Italian rushed out of his box and attempted to make a clearance under pressure from Raul Jimenez.
But he gave the ball straight to Josh King, who had the simple task of knocking it back to Harry Wilson to sweep into an empty net.
His glaring mistake infuriated Spurs fans, with some urging Thomas Frank to take him off immediately.
One angrily demanded on X: “Sub Vicario off right now.”
A second said: “What on EARTH is Vicario doing.”
A third wrote: “0-2. Unacceptable. Vicario what are you doing.”
