KATIE Price has seen her “dream come true” after she rocketed to the top of the charts with her music comeback.
The former glamour model – who is also a pro at singing on stage – has seen her dancefloor classic I Got U experience an unexpected resurgence in popularity.
The catchy tune, originally released in 2017, now sits at number one spot on the iTunes dance chart and number two on the general UK hits chart.
This means the 47-year-old beat the likes of Olivia Dean, Perrie Edwards and Dizzee Rascal in sales and downloads this week.
It is unclear where the hits have come from, but mum of five Katie is delighted.
Katie‘s rep was first to tell us: “This is a massive surprise for Kate, she’s always loved singing and this is a dream come true!
“She is having so much support from the public and can’t thank them enough for her latest entrance into the charts.”
She then took to her Instagram Stories to issue another message of thanks direct to fans.
Katie re-posted screen grabs of their congratulations messages and gushed: “Thank you to everyone my dreams have come true.”
She then joked: “Well, for once I’m speechless!
“Thank you so much!”
Katie then uploaded a screen grab showing the track is 99p to purchase and added: “Thank you so so much for all your support, honestly means the world to me.”
Back in November last year, she took to the stage at a drag queen contest to belt out the same track.
And this year, she delighted fans as she stormed on the stage of an awards show to showcase her vocal talents – despite not scooping a gong herself.
Released in June 2017, the single marked her second attempt at a pop career and reached number five in the charts.
It came after she teamed up with her Mysterious Girl singer ex Peter in 2006 for their duet, A Whole New World, with profits going to charity.
NEW CAREER
Back in May, Katie told of her new plans to finally make it as a popstar.

She said she has a new album in the works along with a tour next year.
Taking to her TikTok, Katie said: “Music, I’ve got my album coming out, I’m going up and down the country doing my normal gigs and next year, I haven’t released the dates yet, I’m touring up and down the country.
“It’s going to be called Katie Price’s big bangers, where I do a lot of old school covers and my own material as well,
“You’ll have to watch.”
Her chart success comes just days after she posted a cryptic message after becoming locked in a feud with three of her ex husbands.
Earlier this month, The Sun reported how mum of five Katie was facing a new legal battle with all of her ex husbands.
Kieran Hayler, 38, and Alex Reid, 50, are said to be consulting lawyers in a bid to stop her explosive Sky documentary airing next year.
It comes after Katie’s ex Peter Andre accused her of making “baseless accusations” against him, and claimed their children Princess and Junior have been in his care since 2018 “for their safety”.
Peter finally snapped after Katie moaned about being frozen out of her daughter Princess’s blossoming career – and claimed that their kids live with both Pete and her.
Revealing his own plans to take legal action, Peter said: “Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations that I have yet to address. Those will be dealt with in the coming months.”
